@florgoth.bsky.social I’m happy with the response TRISTESSE has gotten so far, even if I dropped it at random, with no warning, ears have been perked up

Jim Bakker is dead. And nothing of value was lost, unless you count all the millions he fleeced PTL donors, or the rubes who bought his nasty prepper buckets, or Jessica Hahn. Good riddance you con artist

i rearranged my entire workspace (while i had a hurt back-ack-ack-ack-ack, I oughta know by now) so that i have a prominent midi controller keyboard setup again. making it low profile was an awful, awful decision. now i can mine some noise AND write a book.

i have to take a picture of myself for "promotion." i don't like taking pictures of myself because i don't like the face that looks back at me. i'm fascinated by it, sure, but i don't like it. what do i do!?! pls don't say masks, i already did that.

@davidbix.com i'm not sure if i know anyone else who would appreciate this but you so here goes. i found a 12" of Bananarama's "I Heard A Rumour" at a newly opened vinyl section of Bic Camera in Akihabara today and I grabbed it. That song and even the Stock-Aitken-Waterman production still grabs me.

I love music for infinite reasons but one of them is that it only exists in the air, and only at the time you play it, and relies on memory, but once it resides in memory, it never really goes away. Can’t hang music on your wall like some kind of Rothko garbage, and no, album covers do not count

Radiohead is gonna play in Saitama for five nights next year. I’d be interested but I don’t like going to arena shows alone, and I don’t know anyone in my circle of acquaintances who likes or even cares about them.

I really don’t get how average people can normalize far-right slime. I mean, it’s one thing when you are disillusioned with politics, but that’s an insane step from “hm, maybe taxes should be lower” to “he says the streets should flow with the blood of the outsiders? let’s hear him out.”

Oh great now we have face-ripping Electronic music too. They describe themselves as Industrial and while I'm not disagreeing I would call it the most uncompromising Techno (like German-style Techno) but they ran the master through a distortion pedal... ... By which I mean, holy shit this is so good!
