Late to this but hello!! I got into gouache last year and have really been enjoying returning to traditional media

80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not 😅 I hope you like it! #art

I reveled in learning the names of all the plants I saw, and when I found I have sitka spruce and western hemlock right there along the driveway, I felt like I was greeting an old friend This is the strongest I have felt motivation to take action in my community, and I want to hold onto that!

Saying this for my own benefit as much as others. There is a lot of similarity in the ecology of SE Alaska and the part of the PNW I live in, and it was inspiring to see what my backyard might have looked like if it hadn't been clearcut.
