Art museums always have the power to instill this fervour in me, and Chicago's was particularly good

Late to this but hello!! I got into gouache last year and have really been enjoying returning to traditional media

a gouache painting of a still life of HRT supplies, including testosterone vials, needles, and a sharps container arranged on a blue backdrop

a gouache painting of Glacier Bay, Alaska. A glacier arcs into the still water, and a large mountain rises into the clouds behind it.

a gouache painting of line of 3 cars parked on grass. the last car is covered by a brown tarp.

a gouache painting of a row of 5 brightly colored buckets lined up in the grass.

I've been sailing through Alaska this week! This is Glacier Bay from this morning I've been trying to do at least a short painting every day. A lot is similar to the Continental PNW, but there's so much to learn in how the light catches the water, the ice #pleinair #gouache #landscape

I may never grow tired of painting these alders. Plein air painting while listening to braiding sweetgrass is giving me a deeper appreciation for these studies #gouache #pleinair #landscape
