It's been years since we had a cat that regularly slept with us. Lately we've been waking up to find Luna snoozing between us (as depicted below). During this afternoon's nap, Bella slept between us as well (couldn't catch her at it, but I did get her napping on the floor nearby).

Last night we were "accosted" by the Cat Distribution System™ and now we have two beautiful girls to fill the holes left by Nick and Humphrey. (Names pending until they choose to to divulge them.)

The party of law and order literally just wrote themselves a memo that says they don't have to follow the 4th Amendment. That's right, ICE intends to perform illegal search and seizures without a warrant. Add that to the list with "we had to beat up the police on Jan 6 to defend our democracy".

The Age of the Oramge Kitties in our lives has ended. Nicholas told us he was ready to go so, today, we took him to our vet, said good-bye, and let him go to be reunited with his brother. His echoes are everywhere in this empty house and that he was purring at the very end has wrecked me.

Anyone else seen an increase in Gmail messages going to their spam folders? Today I found nearly 10 messages from places I regularly communicate with. There was even one from a friend with whom I have exchanged hundreds of emails that had been there since Jan. 8th. Suspicious kitty is suspicious.
