Virtual Book Discussion: A Daring Enterprise: A US-Egyptian Partnership and the Case for Soft Power
Join AUC Press and the AUC Onsi Sawiris School of Business for a virtual conversation on "A Daring Enterprise: A US-Egyptian Partnership and the Case for Soft Power." The conversation features co-authors James A. Harmon and Cornelius Queen and will be moderated by Sherif Kamel, dean of the business school. The book offers an inside story of the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund and its efforts to strengthen Egypt’s private sector in the aftermath of the 2011 revolution. Drawing on firsthand experience, the book explores an unconventional model of foreign assistance, examining how investment, entrepreneurship, and partnership can create jobs, expand opportunities, and build lasting ties between the United States and Egypt.
