Today is our Early Access release! 🎉 Really happy with all the VFX and tiny polishing touches I've put in the last couple weeks. The battles are damn satisfying now. I've had to forbid myself from 3D printing and painting the tiles, they're so touchable and I want them on my desk.

And though I'm not autistic, it's made me feel more compassionate to my own special blend of being a human. The book does a great job of showing how overwhelming it is being autistic in our world. And realised, if i can have that understanding for someone with autism, why not extend that to myself.

My oddly specific existential pain is the sight of an Upper Crust. Something about all those individually made baguettes. Destined for individual mouths, insatiable rows of gnashing teeth. Makes me realise the enormity of humanity. And I don't like it.

My needs so far have been super simple. So CapCut looks like it'd do the job great. The more tiktok-y features probably make it really handy for social media posts, I'd guess. I found Davinci quick to export, even on a MacBook Air.

Also, I noticed the first time I uploaded a video to BlueSky it was horrifically compressed. Stumbled on this post www.reddit.com/r/BlueskySoc... And seems like if you want the least smushing to happen export your video with a width of 720 px. And a height of either: 1280px (16:9) 720px (1:1)

It's really approachable too. I went from hitting download. To having this trailer cut together in under an hour. And I am no videographer / editor (As you may be able to tell from the final result. But that isn't Davinci's fault)

Can thoroughly recommend Davinci Resolve if you're an #indiedev looking to cut a video together on a budget. The free version will export up to 4k. And most of the features for the paid version are aimed at proper cinema stuff, like HDR and colour grading. Which we don't need. #gamedev
