I'd hoped to be done with zombies by today, but alas. We carry into October.

Unbidden, Jongho thought about kissing him. He wondered if Mingi's lips were as soft as they looked, what did his lip balm taste like? Did he kiss like his stage persona, confident and explosive, or like the boy lazing around the dorm, smiling and a little shy? Would Mingi kiss him differently than Yunho? How would a kiss from Yunho feel?

A squawking bird interrupted his reverie. Jongho focused on the forest again and pushed those thoughts into the back of his mind where he kept all his romantic fantasies for Mingi and Yunho, locked away for the nights the loneliness settled around him like a blanket.

“What’s got the spirits riled up?”

Wooyoung snorted, switching out the wet rag for a roll of bandages. ”Ask the gods. Usually when something strange happens, they’re at the center of it.”

”<i>Great</i>,” San groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. Just what he needed. More god nonsense. What had started as a rather straight forward mission was suddenly becoming more and more frustrating. Yeosang sticking his nose into whatever was going on with the gods was bad enough without having to worry about the town on top of it, and he doubted it would be as simple as solving one problem would solve the other. It was never that easy.

”Tell me about it,” the tavernkeep huffed. “I would love to go one day without having to worry about what the spirits and gods are going to fuck up this time.”

”Don’t let them hear you talking like that, boy,” one of the other patrons chided, words a little slurred from his drink. "We have enough troubles as is."

Ah right. It had been some time since San had ventured so far north. He had started to forget what life was like when the towns grew smaller and the trees and mountains became more prominent. The spirits were closer here, the gods more real than in the capitol where people could go their entire lives without running into one or the other. And with proximity came superstition.

San could honestly say he hadn't missed it.

Wooyoung looked at the man glaring at them from where he was hunched over the table before turning his attention to the little spirit face first in the bowl of stew. “Something tells me they don’t care.”

San tried his hardest to keep from laughing out loud, he really did, but a snort managed to sneak through before he could stop himself. Even busying himself with mopping up the last remaining remnants of stew with the heel of his bread did nothing to lessen the smile on his face. Across from him, the little spirit lifted its face from the bowl, looking between San and Wooyoung while its tongue worked on the ring of gravy stuck to its fur.

The man grunted, making a show of slamming coins onto the table as he stood, loudly grumbling about disrespectful kids on his way out of the tavern.

Wooyoung gave a roll of his eyes, turning back to San to finish bandaging the cut. "Some people take the gods way too seriously."

"Back home in Catamount, the mountain god found it hilarious if someone bad mouthed her."

"That's west, isn't it? Catamount?" Wooyoung waited to continue his work until San nodded. "Damn, you're pretty far from home."

San hummed around the chunk of bread in his mouth, letting the conversation fall to silence. It wasn't that he didn't miss his parents. The city gave him opportunities his little hometown couldn't. Allowed him to help others in ways he never thought possible. Though the distance ached at times, blanketing around him in an embrace that crushed his heart, he had found relief in the work he did- enough to keep him from returning home.

He was a general. His work saved lives. Made life easier for the citizens of the kingdom while keeping them safe. There was nothing else he would have liked to do more.

Jongho knows, logically, that he shouldn’t do this for a whole shitload of reasons. But the biggest one is that he…thinks about that night (<i>The Yeosang Night</i>) more than he’ll ever admit, especially in front of certain demons with names rhyming with <i>Wooyoung.</i> He knows this isn’t something he needs to be getting all, like—

“Hey.” Yeosang taps Jongho’s chin. “Stop overthinking it. It’s just a wish. It’s whatever you want.” His voice drops into a soft rumble, and Jongho thinks, <i>Fuck it.</i>

He kicked ass this semester. Top of his level.

He deserves a wish.

So quiet that Yeosang leans in close, Jongho says, “I wish for an angel kiss.”

Yeosang beams like Jongho’s passed a test. “And?”

“And…please?”

“God, you’re fucking cute when you’re stoned.” Yeosang sounds <i>fond</i>, like Jongho’s being the most adorable thing ever instead of high and a little too horny for a topiary garden. “An angel kiss could be from anyone here, you have a lot of choices.”

He should’ve known Yeosang would play dirty; he just wishes it didn’t also make him so insanely hot. “Right, because I have a line of A3s just dying to make out with me.”

forever picking away at doomed yaoi yunwoo (when i'm not getting distracted by yuriteez...)

The scenery opened up in front of them suddenly over a steep incline, the street a dip down to a row of beach-front houses and a playground and beyond, the frothy glass mirror of the ocean, stretched glittering with reflected light and out into the dark nothing. Wooyoung stopped and took a deep breath. Yunho, carried by momentum, stopped a few steps further down the hill and turned back to look at him.

There was a street lamp a few paces up, half shaded by a tall tree. The spill of butter yellow light lit up Wooyoung’s shape in a way that made Yunho’s fingers itch, suddenly, for his camera.

“Now that's some view," Wooyoung said. He wasn’t looking at Yunho. His eyes were caught on the horizon, the thread of silver sea foam that trailed the beach. “Never gets old.”

"Want to go, dip your feet in?” Yunho asked. Hoarse thing around an affable smile, half truth, half lie—he cleared his throat and clenched his fists around nothing when Wooyoung looked down at him and sucked his bottom lip between his teeth, expression unreadable for a moment before it smoothed into something a little cocky, a little warm and honey-dark. He stepped closer, a sway and a casual tuck of his hands into his pockets, close enough that Yunho could touch him if he dared to reach out.

"We could," he said. His voice was low, a sweet hum, a little gravel. "Or we could go to my place. It's not very far from here."

And what would we do at your place? The question sat on the tip of Yunho's tongue. A laugh, warm and friendly; easy enough to do and let Wooyoung believe that he didn't understand the implication, that understanding didn't make his palms sweat and his heart race and the crucifix around his neck feel heavy. Lead-line to the ocean floor. The phantom pressure of a velvet box tucked into the curl of his palm.

"Okay," he said.

"Okay," Wooyoung repeated after him. His eyes lit up, feverish.

Being bisexual myself I did an awful job exploring it on my fic because my character just blurted out something like "gay awakening or whatever" when speaking of a same gender person. I did the same IRL long time ago 😂😂😂

I don't think I've explicitly stated any of the teezer's sexualities since I tend to focus on analyzing and teasing out relationships between men only. But in the greater scheme of my writing, I think a lot of my characters are some degree of queer or bi. The fluidity is SO fun
