hi!! here’s some snippets from my woogi fic which is about wy ys and sh stealing art pieces and mg hj and yh who are the detectives on the case. Jh is the detective sergeant and has a crush on sn, a bar owner who might hide some things

"How are you doing, my beloved Mingi?" Wooyoung drawled out the last syllable, and Mingis blood started to boil.

"Do you understand why you're here, Wooyoung?" Mingi gritted his teeth and sat down in front of Wooyoung with a stack of paper in his hands.

"Oh, first name basis today? I like that."

Mingi closed his eyes and willed himself to stay strong. Wooyoung was not a monster, he chanted in his head.

"There's been a new robbery on King street. Beautiful apartment, a balcony and amazing pieces of art in the living room."

"Sounds like a nice place. I still don't understand why I'm here, though."

"Don't act innocent, we know you were there."

Wooyoung's face slightly changed, and Ming's heardbeat quickened. Was it today? Would he have something to incriminate Wooyoung, today?

"At what time was I supposed to be there? I had an extensive shift at work," Wooyoung said, and he slightly relaxed, leaving Mingi frustrated.

Mingi groaned and sighed internally.

Right as he left the first interrogation room, the second one opened, and a very tired-looking Hongjoong got out. Mingi and Hongjoong looked at each other wordlessly, while Wooyoung and Yeosang squealed upon seeing each other.

It was the worst possible outcome happening, and both of the detectives closed their eyes for a second.

"Okay, see you, Mingi-yah!" Wooyoung turned around to face Mingi and threw his arms around the detective's neck.

Before Wooyoung could do anything, like kiss him on the mouth-he had done it before, so now Mingi was wary of him-and possibly making a fool out of himself in front of his colleague, Mingi slipped away from his hold and took both of Wooyoung's wrists in one hand.

"Damn, it's one of these days, I see," Wooyoung said, and Yeosang giggled.

"I couldn't kiss Hongjoong good night, so I understand how you feel, Young-ah."

The two detectives went to their office and found Yunho slumped on his chair.

"So your idiots are here too," Yunho said, looking visibly exhausted.

Hongjoong and Mingi sat down across of him and the three of them adopted the same posture.

"There's no time for sleeping, detectives!" Jongho said, entering the room before patting their back.

"We don't have anything on them.." Yunho whined.

"Yeosang has been making sexual innuendos for the whole duration of the interrogation."

Hongjoong screwed his eyes shut and sighed.

"Who do you think teaches them to talk like that?" Mingi said after nodding sympathetically.

The three detectives hummed, and Jongho, who had just sat down next to Yunho, said in a stern voice: "Seonghwa, definitely."

"Yeah," they answered.

"Hongjoong hasn't been nice to you, sweetheart?" Wooyoung asked, slipping his hand in Yeosang's own.

'I have been making allusions all day, but he didn't catch on any of the hints I was throwing at him. Maybe he doesn't love me anymore," Yeosang whispered as if he was truly sad.

Yeosang was sometimes wrong in the head, but Wooyoung wasn't the most stable man anyway.

"How was Mingi, today?" Seonghwa asked Wooyoung, and Wooyoung felt his face getting hot.

"He was getting so angry, I love him so much."

The three of them sighed, their faces various states of smitten. They looked at each other, and something passed in their eyes.

Wooyoung impercetibly nodded and the corner of Yeosang's mouth slightly lifted upwards, while Seonghwa's right eyebrow twitched.

"I'm glad we understand each other, my cuties," Seonghwa said, stroking both Wooyoung's and Yeosang's heads.

cw. memory loss

With both palms pressed against his eyes, San leaned forward in his crumbling throne. He didn't drop his hands until lights flashed against his eyelids and a heavy sigh spilled out of him as they fell limply in his lap. Head bowed, he glanced over at the identical seat beside his own, surface worn away by time in a way his wasn't. His body had at least left an imprint of perfection while frozen in time but no piece of the adjacent throne was untouched, stone and metal pock-marked and cushion moth-eaten and sun-faded.

Who had the seat belonged to?

The question possessed his every thought lately and with it always came a forboding nausea he'd never confessed to. He didn't want to trouble the others, not while they were still absorbing their own fallen legacies. They'd still want to know, surely, but San couldn't deal with the guilt of weighing them down further.

What was more, they all sorely missed Yeosang. It wasn't uncommon to go long stretches between seeing their young, ambitious lover, but this had been the longest stretch of time yet. San knew he could take care of himself, he was an anomaly of the best kind, a maestro of magic as he weaved each of their elements together like a beautiful tapestry, but that didn't mean he didn't worry.

They were grateful, at least, that the storms had settled. Unfortunately they were likely in the eye now, the dip before the crescendo, and the silence amplified San's worries tenfold until they itched just beneath his skin. He just needed everyone in one place, somewhere he could hold them together and keep them safe.
