Tatsuya was (understandably) on some demon mode shit in Eternal Punishment. Bro was running head first into gunfire to slash a guy in half without even using his Persona or anything he wanted those fuckers dead

i am incredibly normal about grimsley from pokémon #grimsley #pokemon

So while it can help for things like taking online commissions or running an online shop, it really does help to de-influence the mind as an artist. Go at your own pace and don't push yourself!

Atropa @atropazar.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

to have an organized portfolio and depending on where you live, look up local events or stores that are oriented on things such as anime or art. Every card shop I've gone to so far has been open to the idea of letting them sell my Pokémon charms! Con tables don't need a large social media as well. +

Atropa @atropazar.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

content machine. I still haven't fully gotten rid of that mindset either. It takes a lot of quality out of the art when you treat it like that. And like, networking/getting an actual professional job doesn't even usually require you to have a high follower social media account either! It's good +

110

Atropa @atropazar.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Yeah I tried to up my follower count wayyyy back as a teenager as the artists I looked up to would hype up having followers/social media presence as this big important thing and it only led to burnout and heartbreak. I was drawing for a mass general audience and not myself. I turned myself into a +

Atropa @atropazar.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Being an artist doesn't necessarily require a large social media presence. It helps, but it's not everything. I think I'd find it highly stressful if I fixated so much on the numbers. 🤣 My enjoyment in actually creating art would TANK. This is also why I like Tumblr. My follow count is invisible.

I cannot stress it enough, but if you pledge even to the smallest tier of artists' Patreon/Ko-Fi/whatever subscription service they are using, you are already doing a lot. If you are regularly sharing art with others, reposting or sending links their way, you are already showing support and care.

youtu.be/MebuJsDDJfg?... Palkia's cry hands down, it's the first one that came to mind and the most memorable for me, it's a great blend of ferocious dragon screech while also giving that otherworldly space deity vibe.

Took me a solid bit to finish this. Anyone miss when we were allowed to draw on our trainer cards in the Pokémon games? #pokemon #grimsley

A picture of screen that shows a pixel drawing of Grimsley flipping a coin with a smirk, on the back of a trainer card from Pokémon Black 2. The same description applies to the second image.

If anything they're the weird ones for NOT licking the honey! There's also another one where it feels like they lowkey reference spider-man by saying they witnessed Burgh shoot cocoon silk from his hands to decorate his walls it's so funny. They just straight up think he's a bug.

"When I went to meet Burgh. It was like he had been licking the honeycomb walls!" "Now that is a surprise... But, I wonder if he was just admiring his own face reflected on those walls... That's also weird though..." Here's my part of the collab! Thank you for letting me draw my favorite Bug Guy!

A full body, fully colored and shaded digital art piece of gym leader Burgh from the generation 5 Pokémon games. He is looking up to the sky with a wonderously happy expression, posing his hands and fingers in a rectangular picture frame shape while looking through them into the distance with a paint brush in his hand, as if getting ready to paint a scene.

If you’ve ever complained about shipping prices, please take that energy and direct it to your elected representatives. Tell them to fight for more funding of the postal service! If we lose the USPS it’s absolutely inevitable that shipping rates will increase with all carriers. 😤

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone - tech is now more expensive - you cannot trust most media of reality anymore - programs barely function - energy prices - literal psychosis - your voice can be literally stolen for evil - more spyware but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.
