"The success of NIMBYs has come at an incredibly high price for younger and new Canadians, who have to contend with rising rents and ludicrously high home prices in our big (and increasingly, not-so-big) cities." @maxfawcett.bsky.social nails it here. Resistance to change foments a housing crisis.

An extremely timely and poignant article from Max. This might be one of his best pieces of journalism, and I think Albertans need to hear this - even if it's hard to digest for some. One of the best journalists in Canada today. You don't want to miss this one. #canada #alberta #yyc #yeg

If you use websites/apps/Big Tech gadgets, you are only seeing the cute 'user' side of the experience. There is a deep structure behind it that manages your experience, data, and privacy. And you don't control it. Get to know 'the other side' of your tech. Make decisions accordingly. #BigTech

She keeps getting chances to show some loyalty to Canada -- and keeps turning them away in order to defend Alberta separatists and their cause. It's who she is. It's time we all started saying it. #cdnpoli #abpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2026/02/02/o...

Yes, Danielle Smith is a separatist
Alberta's premier says she supports "a sovereign Alberta within a united Canada." Her actions tell a much different story — one that makes her position on the issue impossible to ignore.

Netflix increased their prices for Canadian subscribers. For the standard plan, with tax, that now eclipses $20 per month. That's my personal threshold for any streaming service to begin auditing if it's worth it or not. I'm looking at you too, Crave and Disney Plus.

Mr. Rogers famously once said "look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." If you're thinking about ditching #bigtech, the helpers can be: - open-source; - users over profits; - advocate ethics; - decentralized. Building community starts with a shift in thinking.

Big tip for #PowerAutomate dev stuff - if you aren't seeing things like dynamic values, environment variables, or are missing metadata from your actions, just turn off/turn on the Flow. Doing this refreshes metadata, resets connections, clears backend caches, rebinds EVs, and re-evaluates triggers.
