Exploring inspiration from Aztecs/Ancient Mexico, I came up with two cultures i can't wait to share more about. For now, this one is indeed about Harpies! The bright colors and black clothes come from Alebrije, which makes them look kinda like Sci Fi-Natives? Kind of fun imo!

A Sketch of a winged harpy lady. Her legs are those of a bird, and she has wings on her bac. Pointy ears and nose. Dark-skinned with that bronze tone characteristic of latinos in Mexico. Her clothes are inspired by Aztec warriors with a civilian spin, the bright minty green inspired by Alebrije to make her culture stand out more.

I think Angels are neat, but Celestials could be a touch more monstruous. Only then does the "Be not afraid" makes sense. Meet Artemis, a Celestial in my setting. Her skin looks like Marble and her disconnected limbs defy logic. Her Divine Bow shoots arrows made of holy light.

Artemis, an Angel with Marble skin, Blonde-pale hair and 8 wings. Her Head, Forearms and Forelegs are all disconnected from the torso, emulating Ancient sculptures. Pair of wings on head, Torso and Ankles of each leg emulating Hermes. Golden Metal Kneepads and Elbowpads accentuate the dettached limbs. White Blouse and skirt, with brown straps emulating greek sandals. She has 2 sets of Amber eyes, one of which directly between her eyes and cheeks. Her right hand is missing, manipulating a holy bow through Magic, a golden string to be used for golden light arrows she creates on her other hand.

Weben is a Blue-skinned female figure wearing tattered clothes in stitches. She has long blue-gray hair and a white diadem. She has 4 arms, 1 set of arms over the other. The ones above have long sleeved black gloves while the set below has small fingerless gloves. She has spider-like threads wrapped around her wrists and hip, and She's playing with a magic thread while looking at the viewer with a tilted head, a playful smile and vacant empty eyesockets.

I think Elves that look like humans with pointy ears have no reason to co-exist with Half-Elves that.... look exactly the same. That's why i decided to make my own take on a Dark Elf: The Um'bran. Sum'brae here is the princess of the Underdark, with a tireless curiosity for what the surface holds.

The same character presented twice. In one she's completely pitch black with only white dots for eyes being recognizable.

On the Right, a Dark Elf with elongated arms, legs, torso and neck gives her a super tall Alien look. Her skin is a deep blue-ish purple. Black Sclera and white pupils. Long Dark blue hair and elongated pointy ears even for an elf. Her clothes are all black. A Skirt, toeless-socks, a simple bra and plenty of see-through clothes over her cleavage, arms and legs. She has small violet edge-accesories in a necklace, belt and socks to break apart the general dark color without bringing too much attention to themselves.
Her hands are much bigger than her hands, with elongated fingers that make her silhouette look like claws

Designed a Water Genasi. Got inspired by Desert stuff, so i might write down a one shot in the future. Her name is O'isis. It's a fun pun of sorts, mixing "Oasis" because of her water powers and "Isis", which means "Throne of the Queen". Yes, she can water-bend as her main means of attack.

A Blue-skinned Humanoid with black Sclera and white pupils known as a Water Genasi. She's posing with her arms open, a Scarf-like Stole wrapped around her arms and waist, but the twist is that it's made of water and kept afloat through magic. Her Sorcery shapes one end of the Stole into an Eel to bite at her enemies. Her Dark blue dress is made of Satin, with an opening for her waist and her thighs as a whole. Silver chains adorn the edges of her dress with Purple gems centered as accesories. She's got Black loose Hair that goes all the way to her knees, with a semi-transparent veil the same color as the water, held on her head with silver chains. Toeless shoes. Ample cleavage. A Smirk that tells the viewer she's confident in her beauty and her abilities.

I was not interested in Genasi... but then i made one and was quite impressed with the character potential So here's an Earth Genasi Monk: Halite! From a nomadic Monk/Ranger group, Some of the older folk want to headback to the Earth plane, while the younger ones just want a place to belong.

Her skin color is a deep dark gray like a stone, white curly medium hair and gray eyes. Muscular biceps and abs. Her gloves and shoes are inspired by MMA complete with bandages on wrists and ankles. She has a Black belt on her waist over Red Baggy Harem(?) Pants. As well as a Red Open Vest with black shoulder pads and a white tanktop underneath. There's golden buttons hanging from the bottom of her vest to jingle with her motions and the wind, matching golden earrings and a Golden choker. Golden lines are used across her outfit for contrast.

One pro of bastions is that they are so easy to keep track for dnd 5e players. Instead of going for commodity stats like food, stone, etc... im thinking that i could link concepts of HP, Armor Class and such to the well being of the town as a whole. AC for guards HP for No. of villagers, etc 🤔

I enjoyed playing pathfinder's Kingmaker with friends in a play by post real-time weekly schedule d west march, but the rules for building stuff are a little complex. Suitable for prolongued play and seeing small but constant progress. I would love to play a simplified version of that, so... 1/?

Had a character concept for like a magic academy setting in dnd. A set of three Magic apprentice drow sisters, rescued and brought to the academy after a set of adventurers killed their evil mom. They only agree after being shown notes of plans to use them so that mom could become a lich.

WIP So i wanted to design a Githyanki... and then i just kept tweaking and tweaking until i accidentally made her a Merfolk instead. Meet Pri'nie, she's a warrior princess that fights with a trident. The fun part? Ending up creating 4 new materials just for her armor to make sense underwater!

Maybe a nitpick but ive always felt that the way a lot of fantasies handle half elves and such is really.... boring? In a lot of them, Elves and half Elves are virtually indistinguishable outside of mechanical tweaks. I would prefer much more variety and i think i kinda figured out more than that.

Getting some ideas for the Genasi and the elemental planes in DnD. Some of the descriptions ive seen used (volcanoes and the like) are cool, but some Fey/Penrose stair elements sound amazing. Feel you can merge them too so that there's conflict between the edges. Impossible climates.

I just planned out a barbarian - rogue - fighter and im laughing. She does sneak attack damage via bonus action Quick toss maneuver. Sharpshooter feat for range. Add reckless for advantage. She's literally throwing 1d4+5+2d6+1d8+10 PEBBLES (darts) at distant enemies for around 27.5 BA damage

Not gonna share names and classes so i can share secretly, but here are some Aasimar concepts i had: - what happens when a cult tries to summon/make their own celestial and end up with an Aasimar? Technically a monster no different from devils or aberrations, do you trust the enemy of your enemy?

Aasimar in dnd have the potential for something really cool. Whereas tieflings might be scary because they look like devils, they are (unsurprisingly) human with horns. Aasimar only look human but should show they arent in subtle ways that feel "othering" and unnatural.

Help, Aasimar are quickly becoming my favorite dnd race. I just like celestial revelation and healing hands too much. That and the flavor of celestial blood is pretty cool. I have concepts for a paladin, sorcerer, bard, barbarian, fighter, artificer... might cook a wizard and cleric soon...

Species feat + species spells does feel like a simple winning formula for dnd. I really like how Aasimar has celestial revelation, while tieflings get Hellish Rebuke, Darkness, etc... I just wish there were a few more options to even what 2024 provides.

One thing that made the Aasimar my favorite dnd race was not just how thematic you can go with it, but also the choice for celestial revelation. I went and made a few other PCs like a drow and genasi and i was left disappointed when i couldnt actually pick something to differentiate them.

Getting ideas for a DnD Artificer subclass somewhere between artillery and armory. I wanna say, there's two fantasies left: Machinist and Armament. Armament is like artillery in the way you tinker with a weapon you hold. Could be flavored aa a gauntlet/sword/Gun, but focuses on melee a bit more.
