In my eternal fight to remember to manage my Social Medias, have whats essentially my last 40k/Eldar Piece for the foreseeable future. Funny that it ends in celebration.

Drukhari / Dark Eldar Hellion, Hotline, and my own Haemonculus OC Vultarre. Hotline is the most illuminated with harsher top-down lighting, while Vultarre lingers in the darkness at the back with 3 of his 4 hands interaction with Hotline in some way. too many hands to draw im tired boss

That time my Aeldari ranger Yridion got beaten up by a Noise Marine in our Wrath&Glory adventure 😔🫶🩸 #wh40k

Digital Colored sketch of my Warhammer40K original character Yridion, an Aeldari Ranger from (original) Craftworld Ca'thair. Yridion is an elf-like trans man with long white and gold hair tied in a top knot, pale skin and orange/red eyes with a black sclera. He has a septum piercing and is losing blood from his nose. He's wearing his ranger uniform.

The Bonesingers are the builders and maintainers of the Aeldari. These xenos psykers are gifted in the arts of construction. They are able to draw on the energies of the warp to create wraithbone, which they shape into the core of buildings or tools and use to repair vehicles, weapons and armour.

In a different timeline, the aeldari supplement Inheritance of Embers had the harlequin mime listed as a tier 2 archetype, and I would've had to spend 8 full months with a Wrath and Glory character that can only speak with their body language. Not sure I'm up to the challenge but I would've learned

Yes, he picked Arcadian Sidhe! Omg I vividly recall The Storyteller telling us not to invest in Remembrance because We Were Not Remembering™ for that short campaign, and Elf Guy™ deciding he'd pool most of his trait points into Remembrance. The highs and lows of TTRPG tables are myriad indeed (?)

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

So, tysm for sharing!!! Everytime i find a fellow mind that has the ability to tell a weakness/flaw that makes what we like special (actually!), I hold tight. The default straight up thinking everything is dishonest criticism is so drab. thank god for elves too

030

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I agree with your points. I think they're objective and worthy of nice, nuanced discussions. It's so sad when a nuanced conversation about fantasy dies, when the innocent "ooh i like these fictional guys!" turns into the defensive tribalist "my guys always beat your guys!"

131

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

omg yes, i keep forgetting "picking the petals off a flower" is a fetish for some. And also yes. I played a 3-month Changeling 20th campaign with an Elf Guy™: he played the Old Money, Noble Fairy™ and reveled in being snobby and better and richer and nobler than the rest of our PCs. Cringe-worthy 😬

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Xenology is such a cool read. So much to extrapolate... It's kind of sad I don't know of any other wh40k book about xenos like it. Maybe there is and I didn't come across it yet

000

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Something something about protagonist-kun never being remarkable in any way vs the beautiful beautiful elf being remarkable in absolutely every way.

010

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I also think there is something about gender, power and challenging standards of male beauty I can't quite articulate yet: something about punishment by proxy Elves are powerful, beautiful and typically do not conform to the image of the male power fantasy. Beauty that makes the other feel insecure

110

Athanassia @athanassia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

YES, please. My answer is categorically YES. A or B? YES. Both, Clever! My best guess is that it is a narrative resource authors love to abuse because it elevates the winner above their limitations: "the elf was born with it; my human OC earned it with the sweat of their brows!!!"

Howling Banshees are Aeldari Aspect Warriors who represent a facet of the war god Kaela Mensha Khaine. They charge into combat equipped with power swords, accompanied by a loud psychically-amplified shriek of their Banshee Masks. This concept depicts a Howling Banshee and a Guardian for comparison.
