Spent the whole day with claude, ghostty. Maybe start with some zig as well. Hope to have bit more fun with claude. I think its not about productivity but unleashing the wild thinking.

"Busy" is fundamentally cancerous word that is so common with software folks. Very few understands busy is not effective or productive.

In my experience, It’s rarely engineering decision to go with single region, finance or executives on top takes the decision and ignore architecture or engineering recommendations to go multi-az or multi region or test for resiliency. They should be held accountable for incidents. #aws#outage

There's a sanctuary in Meath that takes in often disabled cows and let's them live out their life happily but they're being evicted. If anybody has a few hectares and wouldn't mind cattle on them you should get in contact with them. It's heartstone sanctuary

Personal hot take: Every AI selling vendor should be asked this key question: “If your AI does blunders, are you happy to take the liability exposure and loss due to those mistakes?” benchmarks doesn’t matter, real contracts does.benchmarks maybe good to grab VC money.

If you have calculators, you still need to verify results on your own. I don’t understand how good people with brain just rely on AI summaries for anything and everything. It doesn’t make sense to me. Meetings scribes are fine but insights are always personal chemistry. Don’t turn off your brain.

There's a big difference between launches and landings. A launch is when you merge all the code, close that final Jira ticket, and cut a new product release. A landing is when your customers pay for it.

Bury your agentic ai so deep that your end user can’t see it. Naive, overzealous companies are keeping it at surface for blind marketing depts. customers should *experience* the magic not brainwashed into your marketing garbage.

"Something ineffable happens when you write down a thought: You think something you did not know you could or would think and it leads you to another thought… the process of writing itself leads to previously unthought thoughts [and] crystallizes half-formulated or unformulated thoughts" - Lynn Hunt

How Writing Leads to Thinking (and Not the Other Way Around) – AHA
Writing is stressful. Sitting in my computer chair my neck and shoulder muscles almost immediately tense up as I dig around in my brain for the best phrase or even any coherent string of words.

How do you hash… a banana? 🍌🤔 I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why hashing "banana" with SHA-1 in Node.js gave me a different result than doing it in the terminal. A classic case of “invisible bytes”! Let me walk you through it 🧵
A comic-style image illustrating a debugging moment about SHA-1 hashing. The top panel shows Node.js v24.0.2 with a code snippet that hashes the string "banana" using crypto.createHash('sha1'), resulting in the hash 250e77f12a5ab6972a0895d290c4792f0a326ea8. The middle panel shows a confused cartoon character and a terminal command echo "banana" | sha1 producing a different hash: 8a1aaf746ada2a80fab03a58c91575ffe82885ac. The bottom panel shows the same character now smiling and pointing upwards, next to the corrected command echo -n "banana" | sha1, which returns the same hash as Node.js. The image highlights that the echo command adds a newline character unless -n is used.
