My work laptop has these tiny page up/down buttons crammed around the cursor keys. I keep hitting them by mistake and giving myself a heart attack when all my text on screen changes 🤦🏻‍♂️ #FirstWorldProblems

The new layout of the media controls on Android means that comedian John Robins is currently judging me whenever I check my notifications.

I found a local #BloodBowl league, and my first round match is tonight! I'm playing Orcs (because they're my only team that's fully-painted) against Lizardmen. It's my first competitive game in a long time, let's see how it goes 🤞🏻

Time for some new earcups. Last time I accidentally ordered the wrong colour from the Bose website but I ended up liking the contrast. This time I've gone for a third party option so we'll see how those go.

Day 22 of the ole #HobbyStreak. I'd been putting off painting the skin on the troll because I wasn't sure what colour I wanted it to be. Took the plunge today with the light blue I have and it looks pretty good. I also started batch painting the gold armour on the Tomb Kings.

I finished blocking in the base colours on this poor fellow for #HobbyStreak day 21. He's so bundled up it was tricky to figure out which bits were which to begin with. I think he's the weakest part of the sculpt tbh, if I got another troll I'd look for a different model.

#HobbyStreak 14-16. Finished up the Tomb Guardian paint job. The gloss varnish is still a bit wet in the picture because I didn't have time to let it dry before bed. Particularly pleased with the face on this one!

#HobbyStreak day 13! I put the base colours on this Tomb Guardian. I need to do his face but I don't think I have the colour I want. I think I'll grab something off the top end of the Army Painter's desaturated cool green gradient. That'll look appropriately putrid.

Tomb Kings thrower with a completed paint job. They have gold armour with teal and purple accents and purple shorts with black trim. On their chest, belt buckle, and on top of the helmet there are elements picked out in black with a glossy varnish.

The same thrower as the previous photo, this time from the back. There is a tiny numeral 1 stylised as a capital "I" on the back of the armour.

A human catcher mini. He has white trousers and shoes, blue armour, and a green shirt and socks his helmet is white and blue with gold face protection. There is a small number three outlined on his chest, and another in black on the top of his helmet.

#HobbyStreak day 10. Just a small painting session today, I could feel my eyes getting tired as I worked. I started blocking in the blue on one of my human linemen then cleaned up and washed the catcher.

#HobbyStreak day 9. Assembled the troll and the refs from the #BloodBowl Second Season box and put a wash on my Tomb Kings thrower.

This speedpaint stuff is pretty great! For my #HobbyStreak day 7 I painted all the bones and bandages on my Tomb Kings team and they look fantastic. I might put some extra highlights on the bandages to distinguish them from the skeletons but we'll see.

#HobbyStreak day 5 + 6 I sprayed these bony boys first, hated the finish, then scrubbed it off and brushed on two coats of white instead. I'm going to be using a bone speedpaint on them so I might do one more coat of white before that, we'll see

They're coming back pretty well. This was after a couple of hours of soaking and then a good scrub with a toothbrush. I've put them all back to soak for longer and will finish the job this evening. Messy!

A skeleton miniature made of beige plastic. It looks wet and has white paint in most of the crevices, while the flat surfaces are clean.

My workspace after 30 minutes of scrubbing paint off of miniatures. One gloved hand is now mostly white with paint and the cutting mat on the desk has been splattered with a fine mist of the same. A small square of blue shop towel has taken the brunt but it was not nearly large enough to catch all the spatter.

@erikcats humidity today is 56%, so not horrible? I dislike spray undercoating at the best of times, this was the final push I needed to grab a bottle of stuff I can brush on instead. I will update on the paint removal later!
