It's insane how good the new NuCal rewards pass is in the Nightfall Refresh. The white guns are hilarious, but the black ones with the moving pink LEDs are insanely cool. I hope they continue to move in this direction in the future, rather than the darker, moodier cosmetics we've gotten previously

Some of these changes are absolutely huge, but the two I think are particularly of note are the changes to schema purchasing (thank goodness) and the changes to how the proximity sensor works. The rework there makes me think I'll actually start bringing/using these a LOT more.

I feel weird even caring, because I clearly didn't care enough to engage with anything Disney has made with Star Wars past the sequel trilogy and Mandalorian season 1. I guess I was just disappointed enough to disengage, but also Disney+ would be yet another subscription on top of the ones I use.

Which is why I'm so excited for the PvE mode and other changes they're making in December and March. I think a lot of people who simply do not want to deal with gear loss will play PvE and TDM and stuff because at its core Marathon is a good ass Bungie shooter with fun mechanics.

It's rough to get a gold backpack or implant or shield and then eventually lose it from a dumb mistake, because I can't easily recoup that loss by just popping into Cryo or something like a trios player would. I get over it, but I can see it turning people off entirely.

I really like Marathon as it is now, but I have to admit that the gear fear never totally goes away - at least as a solo player who hasn't even done a crew fill trios match. It's gotten a lot better as I've become a better and more knowledgeable player, but it still sucks to lose good stuff.

Also, & I think I echo a lot of community sentiment with this, Destiny 3 (or whatever comes next) absolutely should not be season-based. It has got to be based solely on substantial expansions that can carry a year, 6months, whatever the cadence becomes. Let people have down time without panicking

If Bungie is unable or unwilling to return the seasonal content for D2 as part of this great unvaulting, I think they should at the very least add the cutscenes for each season to the in-game timeline of events tab. Not having to go to YouTube for those would be ideal for catching people up easily.

Marathon is so good guys. I ran into a guy during solos on Dire Marsh yesterday who started chatting with me, and we decided on the spot to go fight the Scorch Warden that somebody had triggered, and then just wandered around for the match chatting. Such a cool community.

I'm choosing to believe this is a "we have to extend Season of the Lost to polish Witch Queen" delay, rather than a Shadow and Order delay. But I also know things are way riskier and the studio is in much more dire straits than it was back in those days. I guess we'll see in December 🙃

I really, really enjoy how this game feels to play. The shooting feels great, the movement feels great, the world and lore and story are great. I just want this game to survive because I love playing it. If they can hit the right balance of modes and support, we're in for something special.

Shifting to more of a hub that supports multiple modes across different sub-genres of shooter will, I think, really help the player count grow. As much as I love the extraction mode, if it has to be pushed to the backburner for the game to survive, so be it.

I wish Apple would make a stemless version of the AirPods Pro, because I really like my pair but my ear lobes push against the stems and make it so they don't stay in my ears. I know there are other options out there, but for max compatibility earbuds, my only other real choices are Beats.
