This is a fantastic review from Lex, that takes a look at what we've been missing for far too long (new Ridge Racer when?).

My review is a bit delayed due to my hellish travel. However, it's safe to say it's one of the year's best and a near instant action game classic. Its carefully paced layering of ever deeper combat mechanics results is one of the most satisfying first playthrough experiences for any game.

Incredibly bleak. 10 years ago, there would be 5 websites fighting to sign Jade because she is just that good. Thanks to the constant vandalism by organisations like the one she's just left, we've lost an entire generation of writers, and the few still coming through have nowhere to go.

My review of Black Flag Resynced on @gamerguides.com is running a little behind schedule, but my broad thoughts are that it is a remarkably successful Ship of Theseus-ing of AC4; a remake based on the tech of Skull & Bones, which in turn was a long-languishing, oft-changed spin-off of the original.
