My OCD has superpower aspects. Advocates monthly town meetings at Dunkin' in breakaway NE. Dreams of being an economist. Assume it's a failed attempt at humor. Don't want the drama.

Bluesky keeps recommending an account. I decline, clicking the X. Not interested in the account; the account is fine. Next day, recommends the account. It's been doing this all summer. Now I'm incredibly biased against the account because Bluesky, not the account.

I just thought of a P.G. Woodhouse Wooster and Jeeves in a post-apocalyptic scenario. Same dynamics and rich twits but a bit of steampunk to keep the saunas and coups and luxury going. But also mutant attacks for a good round of hunting sport. Not sure if the rights are public.

Talking with family about music. Me: It's like Billy Joel. I'd never buy any of his albums, but I'm always happy when his songs come on the radio. Son 1: I've never paid for music and no one listens to the radio. Son 2: Billy Joel's great. Technology is tearing families apart.

For folks worried about situations like this, look into a 504 plan. This recognizes an identified disability but is more focused on accommodations a teacher can make themselves (i.e., extended test times). It protects your kid and you just list things that they already do and work.

It's actually bad pedagogy, especially before high school. The best AP course I heard about was an open one, where some kids knew they couldn't keep up so the teacher modified their load because they really wanted to learn some of the stuff. Also, lit circles for elementary should be choice books.

3-panel SMBC comic update. A woman walks up to another woman sitting at her desktop computer. The first woman says "I need to convince my boyfriend he's good at sex." The second woman answers as she types : "tonight, try imagining you're a bat that keeps echolocating stuff in the room." The first woman reacts with confusion, as the second states "trust me." The next panel is fully black, implying the lights are off with the narration "later, after darkness falls..." A talkbubble - implied to be the first woman speaking to the boyfriend - says : "AAAA! Do they do throw-back uniforms in soccer (football)? If they do, are the sponsors the current ones or old ones? One thing unbelievable (just one?) in Ted Lasso was that every fan suddenly had Bantr jerseys and no DubaiAir holdouts? No matter how moral the switch, I'm skeptical.
