Folks, you don't need AI to check color contrasts. You also don't need AI, to get suggestions for colors that pass the contrast ratio. It's pure, good, old math formula. Not everything needs to be "AI". Also, here are many, color contrast tools and more to help you build accessible color palettes:

I asked how much people use AI to write CSS on YouTube, and about 60% said they don't use it at all or use it only occasionally. I thought the balanced mix would be way higher. In the comments, most people complain that it's still bad at CSS, even if it's good at other stuff.
A poll asking These days when you're writing CSS, how much of it do you author yourself, vs what's coming from AI?

With over 1600 answers, almost 60% are in the don't use AI at all, or only use it occasionally camps. About 12% says they use a pretty balanced mix, and 29% saying they mostly or entirely use AI.

Jane Addams: the first American woman awarded the #Nobel Peace Prize, 1931, her efforts to revive the ideal of peace & champion social justice globally. She co-founded @aclu.org, 1920, and is the "mother" of the #socialwork profession in the US. She was born #OTD in 1860. #CivilLiberties #HistSky
Black-and-white historical photograph of Jane Addams (1860–1935), the pioneering social worker, suffragist, and first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Addams is seated at a dark wooden desk, her body angled toward the viewer while her right hand holds a pen poised over a piece of correspondence. She is dressed in a formal, dark, three-quarter-sleeve jacket over a white, high-collared lace blouse. Her most striking accessory is a large, dark, wide-brimmed hat adorned with voluminous, light-colored feathers. A thin dark ribbon is tied closely around her neck, and a long, fine chain hangs over her chest. Her expression is composed and serious, characterized by heavy-lidded eyes and a direct gaze that conveys intellectual focus and resolve. To the viewer's left, a tall glass vase filled with light-colored roses sits on the desk, providing a soft contrast to the room's spare, interior background. The composition is a classic portrait that captures the dignity of a woman whose work at Hull House transformed American social reform. The mood is scholarly and dignified, highlighting her status as a leading public intellectual of the Progressive Era.

Been reading some strident arguments for LLM usage from fairly high-profile writers this week, and I keep thinking about this post I wrote a few months ago. I cannot imagine publicly carrying water for a military contractor, simply because you like the emails it helps you write.
Screenshot of an excerpt from the linked blog post. Excerpt reads, “ And I don’t just mean monetarily. It’s not lost on me that these commercial “AI” platforms improve by learning. Well, “learning” is too anthropomorphic a verb: these large language models analyze user input, and may be trained on the data we feed them. And as I’ve read about the opening days of this pointless, stupid, awful, horrifying war, I couldn’t help but think that the everyday use of these machines is quite literally enhancing them.”Screenshot of an excerpt from the linked blog post. Excerpt reads, “ None of this is new, of course. Microsoft’s “AI” products were used by Israel’s military to surveil Palestinians; the 2018 Google Walkouts were driven in part by employees protesting Google’s machine learning contributions to drone strikes; during the height of the Vietnam War, tech workers were mobilizing against the industry’s embrace of defense contracts. But today, we cannot meaningfully separate the everyday use of ‘AI’ platforms from their application in death and war. Imagine asking Northrop Grumman to summarize an email for you, or refactoring code with help from Boeing and Raytheon.”
