Used the new WordPress 7.1 interactive styles for button hover states. Very smooth and clean. Can't use the FSE for styling the nav link styles though, because it's limited to typography. I add a box around the text. #wordpress #fse

My newly redesigned website has been live for about a month. Today I performed a Lighthouse audit and got scores in the 90s across the board. Pretty happy about that!

Font Awesome plugin won't work in a local Wordpress site due to LocalWP blocking external API requests. So, I learned how to manually configure Font Awesome with theme.json (register the fonts) and functions.php (enqueuing). Then, lots of tweaking for styling and linking.

Yesterday, Github Desktop was caught in a loop and wouldn't let me sync a local repo with Github. Today, I ran Onyx to clean up the system. Then, I was able to sync things correctly. It's good to walk away from the machine and get a good night's sleep.
