If "legitimate concerns" were considered to excuse illegitimate methods, then nobody from Just Stop Oil or Palestine Action would have been arrested. So we know it doesn't. In fact that phrase is only ever used in one context. Only in that context is uniformed mob intimidation "peaceful protest"

It's very upsetting seeing a masked paramilitary group on the streets. Really very triggering. A visceral fear in my chest, that I can only imagine is an epigenetic memory from my Jewish forbears. I can't imagine what minority communities must be feeling. 😕
