One of the last sessions i had with my therapist, I drew this. And she got visibly angry, and became quite hostile. I'm glad I know I can ask to see someone else, but it always surprises me, at how I frequently get assigned new hires and those fresh out of college. #mentalhealth

I have such empathy for those under her care. Her listening was inattentive, and she frequently tried to quote me, which I played dumb to- because she quoted so far off the mark, I began to wonder, since during the whole time we worked together, she wouldn't take any notes except for maybe once every three meetings. I really began to wonder if I was being gaslit, she 90swould attempt to quote me, but it wasn't even close to what I said. And not to mention,I could be recounting something traumatic, and she'd sit there, grinning at me and nodding her head while trying to pretend to blink- saying "yesss" in a low register, with almost a hiss- her eyes would not close the whole way, I'm not paranoid, but somehow, it seemed like she was something else, wearing a human skin that didn't fit right... or it was botox. Which, yeah. I get it. But looking back, I had like two sessions with her that were great, and we uncovered my problem- but then suddenly, there was a shift.

I should draw her. But not name her.

Something that stuck with me when I was selling my art the first time, was a professional artist telling me that my art was unmarketable. I was defiant back then, still had all my internal organs. So I kept being unmarketable. And now- well now I wish I had tried more fanart.
