When I started on this project, I had a total of about 6 months of collective experience using Substance 3D Designer and learning Material Art in general. I really just wanted to see if I could do it, and thankfully it turned out well. Thankfully, I learned a TON in the process.

This is a throwback to one of my first procedural material's made in Substance 3D Designer. I based it off of some great photo reference by @deswalsh.bsky.social I also had some fun with the presentation. These scenes were rendered in real-time with Blender's Eevee (baked lighting).

In 2022, I tinkered a lot more with the possibilities of a 3D supported pixelart look. This was our first prototype entirely made in blender (except textures and characters) and playable in a game engine. But it got discarded later due to a difficult workflow for #indiedev

Got my Pride bonus stuff in engine, they add so much. Some examples of how the wings, poles & planks can combine to build Pride themed jumps, plus all the solid & striped pole options together
