The very big sword is finished guys! God every step of this was exponentially harder than on any regular sized sword, but also fun and definitely worth it Sooooo Wanna help me get everyone on bsky to see it? :D??

Making this sword is literally draining me of my life force but there you go, one step closer to be done

Arann Reichhardt Swordsmith @arannreichhardt.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

A proper comparison of the two swords Keep in mind that the smaller one is still above average in length for a longsword :o

So my mail goal is to make swords that make people think: "I wanna fuck that sword"

Guys I'm really gushing over how those throny things in the knuckle guard came out, I really need everyone to see them

Arann Reichhardt Swordsmith @arannreichhardt.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

Alright, didn't quite get to fiiinish them but almost there. managed to advance some of tomorrow's work though so that's a fair trade. Had to crop the pics cause I forgot to turn off the damn phone watermark. Phone, why is that the default option, why would I EVER want it there

Arann Reichhardt Swordsmith @arannreichhardt.bsky.social · 02/03/2025

Lil time lapse thingy of talking a blade from rough forged into ready for heat treatment (part 1 cause apparently you can't post videos over a minute to long)

Alright guys, I still can't post the things I was working on before the whole shoulder mess thing happened (and since I got back) But what can I post? Without any possible context? This!

Arann Reichhardt Swordsmith @arannreichhardt.bsky.social · 27/02/2025

Heeeeeey Guess who's baaaaaack Gosh that took longer than expected (and doctor says I should still take it easy for a bit) But I'm finally back in the workshop and, more importantly, back working! I have sooo much work to do and sooo many swords to forge, expect more stuff soon!

Sorry I've been missing for a bit guys, turns out I have silly lil' bone-guys syndrome. My shoulder bones are full of silly lil' guys and I need for them to leave before I can work again so my arm doesn't fall off (Normal bone left, silly lil' bone guys on the right)

Hi there, I am an illustrator with a focus on late medieval costume. I try to breathe some life into centuries old armours and dresses that once gracefully moved. If you want to explore what I do a bit more, start here: eol-art.fr/portfolio/Eo... (warning highres image may go heavy on your device)

ohh, and the sword of course. which I hope many of you will recognize! this one was pretty fun to make but also very very nerve-racking. Having such a massive fracture point in the most tension bearing part of the blade was... challenging xD

Must... post... swords... every... day Hey, just finished the scabbard for this one! I know I posted a very similar one just a bunch of posts ago, not my fault that I got pretty much the same sword commissioned exactly as I decided to get back on bsky xD
