Know that I'm finally figuring out my new normal since my health scare in the Spring, I want to get back to some kind of organizing. It's hard to do when I live in the middle of nowhere Ohio and can't drive, but I'm hoping I can start attending my village's council meeting and see what happens.

I've watched this happens for a lot of trans folks I know. People who were heavily involved in their community fleeing as soon as they can. Friends whose home was shot up for being Trans finding themselves briefly homeless after fleeing.

We had some kittens and a mama cat living under our house. We tried to do spay/neuter and release because there are so many strays here. We thought lots of humane socieites in the area would offer it, but we called them AFTER catching the cats and they were all booked for months.

There is a really sad pattern I need to address in the trans community: Do not CHOOSE sacrificing yourself. I am not talking about those we lose to ideation. Don't buy a gun if you can't guarantee it won't become a threat on your life. There are other roles to play. But there's another concern.

My partner's workplace has been taking more fucked up contracts lately and I don't know what to do about it. It's fucked up and also every job in the manufacturing industry around here is in some way. All I can do is hope for an economy that doesn't rely on the MIC so God damn much.
