Don't think I've ever shared this project I was working on in 2020: a retro-inspired MCU-powered keyboard device. A mix of too much work on sw and the keyboard not being so good led to it fizzing out.
A photo of a device made up of 3 PCBs, one at the top has a large mono graphical lcd showing a black and white toolbar with a menu bar and some widgets, very low res. Under it is another pcb with plastic keys. And in the right there is an Adafruit Feather powering the device.

It passed. https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/org/pulls/1253#issuecomment-19820434 Codeberg bans vibe coded slop. (EDIT: No, I do not want to debate the percentages of LLM code allowed or "how will people enforce this, I can still vibe code and not tell". This is a statement about intent by a community. It will be a moderation challenge, especially with so many people who have made "coding with an LLM" their whole personality but it's doable. But don't waste your and my time with these boring, juvenile arguments)

Got @slint working on the ESP32-H2, displaying on a 1-bit RLCD and using buttons as key input, cause why not.
A photo of a small breadboard with the ESP32-H2-Zero PCB inserted, the board has a USB Type-C connector attached. In front of the PCB there is a board with 5 tact switches, and behind it is a breakout board with a square reflective LCD attached showing a label saying "Counter: 42", a LineEdit widget, and 4 buttons: 2x "Decrease" and 2x "Increase".

5 years ago, I was playing around with an idea of a keycap with a display embedded in it, and now you can just get them off the shelf!
A bunch of parts on a desk, 3d printed keycap base with a hole for a tiny OLED and its flex cable, transparent keycaps, one assembled key with the base, oled, and keycap on top, flex cable inserted into a PCB.A PCB with a 3x2 matrix of keys with OLED in the keycap, each oled is showing a frame with text "Display 1" through "Display 6". The displays are driven by a Feather board, some jumper wires connected between the board and the Feather.A product photo showing a keycap with a glass-covered display on top, it's a color display, the glass is nice and curvy. In the back, the flex pcb of the display is showing. The backside of the keycap product showing the stem for a cherry keycap and the flex pcb coming out.

An Update from the New Tindie Team

Dear Tindie Community,

My name is Gongyu Su, and I am writing on behalf of the new Tindie ownership team.

First, we sincerely apologize for the recent downtime and the disruption it caused. We understand that many buyers and community members were left without clear information during the transition, and that this created frustration and concern.
Tindie is now owned by EETree LLC, a Washington State company. Our team took over Tindie because we believe it remains an important platform for makers, hardware creators, engineers, and independent sellers around the world.

The "Desperados" CD Menu, the background is the game art with a large logo at the bottom, and 3 windows control buttons in the center: "Re-install Direct X 6.1", "Install Desperados", "Play Desperados" (disabled). There is also an "X" close button in the top right. The "Small Soldiers: Squad Commander" CD Menu with the logo taking most of the window, and 4 styled buttons at the bottom: "Install", "Uninstall" (disabled), "Play" (disabled), and "Exit"The "Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring" CD Menu with a fairly small game logo in the top left, a large Balrog art in the middle, and multiple text buttons in the top right in a stylized font: "Install War of the Ring", "Install DirectX", "War of the Ring Website", "View Readme File", and "Exit".The "Stupid Invaders" CD Menu, a basic windows-style dialog, with a small render of one character on the left, and 3 Windows control style buttons on the right: "Install Stupid Invaders", "Uninstal Stupid Invaders" (disabled), and "Quit".

Won't stop!
The James Bond 007: Nightfire CD Menu with the game cover art in the background and a few Windows control buttons to the right including: "Run James Bond 007: Nightfire", "Install James Bond 007: Nightfire", "Readme", "James Bond 007: Nightfire Help", and "Exit".The Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace game CD Menu, a small Window with the movie poster art at the top and a few Windows control buttons under: "Install The Phantom Menace", "Readme & Troubleshooting", "Analyze Your Computer", "Exit to Windows".A very unusual "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay" CD Menu, hard to even describe the shape, kind of like metal plates and slabs put on top of each other in an irregular pattern so there are empty spaces between them, and there are also multiple stylized buttons sprinkled around in an irregular pattern: "Launch Game", "Install", "Install DirectX 9c", "Game Website", "Starbreeze Website", "VU Games Website", and "Quit".The "The Great Escape" CD Menu with a prison wall background, game art in the middle, and some stylized buttons in the bottom right: "Install", "Website", and "Exit". Also some logos (movie studio, game studio, etc.) under the art.

Can't stop!
The CD Menu for Unreal Gold, the background is a rust metal texture, with a large logo in the center, and 4 text buttons under it: Install, Register, Visit Web Site, ExitThe CD Menu for Unreal 2 Special Edition, the layout and background is very sci fi, with random lines outlining things, and some mechanical thing in the background. Game logo in the top left, and red buttons with white text on the left: Install, Manual, Read Me, Exit. Epic, Legend, and Atari logos at the bottom. The CD Menu for X-Men 2: Wolverine's Revenge. The background is a sepia-tone render of Wolverine, then in the top right is the game logo with black background, not blending with the overall theme or vibe at all. Then on the left are 2000s-vibe ellipse-shaped logos, with blue text (same as unclicked links on websites if you don't use CSS). The buttons include: Play, Install DirectX 9, Bonus, Quit. The CD Menu for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The logo visible at the top, then under it on the left is the game art with the 4 Spider-Men. Then on the right a column of text buttons: Play, Uninstall, Extras, Links, Support, Quit.

Then photos of the 4 characters from the 2005 movie with text showing their names, and 6 stylized buttons in the bottom middle, including "Links", "Extras", "Bonus Features", "Install", "Quit".An unusual round CD Menu for the 2006 Prey Game.
