Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 8hPeople were never throwing measles parties! My mom caught measles as a young child in the early 60s. Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 15/10/2026After seeing dozens and dozens of Hallie Shoffner signs all around NWA for for the past several weeks, I finally spotted my first Tom Cotton sign… next to a restaurant that recently went out of business 🤣 Hopefully that sign is a sign that he’ll soon be “out of business” too! 020 0

Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I didn’t think early voting started yet in Missouri? I’m in Arkansas and we can’t vote early until the 19th, but I’m planning to be there on the first day! 110 0
Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 09/10/2026We’ve had girl and boy cats and they all had wonderfully unique personalities, but by far the sweetest and least stand-offish was our Millicent. When my youngest was a toddler, he would carry her all around the house while she purred. She slept on his pillow every night until we lost her at 17yo. 💛 000 0
Reposted by JoKelly Barnhill @kellybarnhill.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Do we really need to explain to people that it is really, REALLY important to read to young children? Like, you, personally, need to read to your child - your voice, your face, your hand gestures, your lap, your arms, your closeness. What kind of parent doesn't know this in their bones? 671657273 0

Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I’m seeing dozens of Hallie Shoffner signs in NWA—they’re everywhere and more are popping up every day! Not one single Tom Cotton sign and only a couple for Womack. 021 0

Benjamin Cremer @brcremer.bsky.social · 04/10/2026It is a broken society that is suspicious of the poor and the immigrant possibly exploiting the system to have more than they need all while the rich and powerful are encouraged to exploit and hoard as much as they like. It is a broken Christianity that endorses such a society. 219661 0
Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 04/10/2026It’s complicated. It’s our home, and it may be messy but it’s also beautiful. Even in “red state” Arkansas (I hate these over-simplified labels, btw) I have met SO many good people putting in the work to make our communities better. What happens to these communities if we give up and leave? 110 0
Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 04/10/2026From my perspective as someone with family that votes R, Christian Nationalism is a big part. They have been told by their pastors and “news” sources that democrats are not just political opponents, but actual demons. They will vote against their self interest to keep the “demons” from winning. 240 0

Jo @artsyjo.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I agree. Driving around NWA, I’m seeing dozens of Shoffner signs and have yet to see a SINGLE Tom Cotton sign. People here hate him; even some Republicans I know don’t trust him. 150 0
