I remind myself i have her blocked everywhere so she can't see my art and she would never read my gay fics anyway. i did suspect that the reason why i was having so much grief over creating last year was because i ran into my ex-friend by accident and that set my anxiety off but it's strange to realize how much that affected me for almost 9 months... like this year I'm happily creating whatever and I'm chill ;w;

It wasn't until I accepted that i did have adhd myself that something inside me clicked and the self hatred I carried within me for 30 years finally stopped because I didn't have to hate myself for 'not being good enough'

I think often about how people think that neurodivergent people get diagnosed so that we have an 'excuse' for 'not trying like everyone else' as if the label makes life easier for us or something

fun fact: one of the things that made me decide "no, I will get an actual diagnosis", rather than just assuming, was the subtitle of a thread about ADHD on the SomethingAwful forums because it hit so hard it hurt it was along the lines of "if you were lazy, you would be having fun"
