The comic strip Male Call premiered on January 24, 1943. Created by Milton Caniff exclusively for U.S. military publications, it featured Miss Lace and ran until March 3, 1946.

I love over analyzing rats in Star Wars specifically seeing them in Skeleton Crew, because I once drew a rat for High Republic and I did so much research on it and how many legs it had and what it looked like. that I could probably do a ted talk on it.
