RIP Mary Louise Weller. I'm in the habit of memorial-viewing performers' works...but as hilarious as she was in Animal House, it doesn't seem entirely respectful to remember her with a movie where she gets peeped at. Still, more respectful than watching what happens to her in Forced Vengeance...

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? Yet another memorial week: Remembering Marina Vlady with a classic Jean-Luc Godard dissertation. Remembering Richard Harrison with two Spaghetti Westerns and one of his many ninja movies (though not the one with the Garfield phone).

Ideally, I'd hope the project gets canceled because they can't find an actress soulless enough to portray Renee Good as a villain...but I know there are too many performers out there who'll do anything for a part.

I've been memorial-binging some of Richard Harrison's movies, and experienced a weird coincidence: I watched "Terminal Force" one day and "Angel Eyes" the next, and the exact same car-crash footage is used in both movies! (And it probably came from an even earlier source!)
A screen capture of a movie scene of a car going over a cliff. This same scene was used in at least two different low-budget movies, Fred Olen Ray's "Terminal Force" (1989) and Gary Graver's "Angel Eyes" (1993).

I recall reading that Renee and Becca Good had moved to Canada following Trump's re-election, before returning to the US and finding a friendly community. Surely her mother must have known how much her vote would alienate her daughter, but she voted against her anyway.

My heart is breaking for Renee Good (and her wife and kids) all over again. I would wonder how a parent could claim to support her LGBTQ daughter and still vote against her interests, but that presupposes that Renee's mother ever actually supported her at all.
