I've been trying out a more anime style whenever I feel like drawing something for my Modern AU. Still getting the hang of it haha. Still feels really weird my brain keeps trying to correct it or add too much detail. 😂 ('A Soft Touch' -> archiveofourown.org/works/619931...) [ #tgcf #hualian ]

Some chibi art I did for chapters 5 and 6 for my tgcf fic 'Paper Memories'. 💜 There's a mix of chibi and serious art. Currently we're at chp 13 but I'm lazy about posting on here lol (and I forget this site exists) (archiveofourown.org/works/615350...). [ #tgcf #hualian #heavenofficialsblessing ]

TGCF Clone Week Event @tgcf-clone-event.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

This event will be mainly hosted on Tumblr, but shared here on Bluesky, and Mastodon as well. At the end of it, I'd like to make sure it's all brought to a collection on AO3 for easy finding ❤️ The purpose of the event? To celebrate any and all uses of clones in TGCF! (1/3)

Well I started a new #tgcf fic lol. This one isn't prewritten & idk how often I'll do art. This time its a Modern AU. "A Soft Touch" archiveofourown.org/works/619931... A lil inspo from the show Leverage (heist/hacking elements) & XL is both touch-averse & touch-starved so chew on that lol.

So I've been working since Aug on the sequel fic to 'Never Forget, Never Forgive' and I've also been working on all the chp illustrations for it. It's just about wrapped up. Here are some teaser images (about 3/4ths of them). 'Paper Memories Part One' will begin posting weekly on Jan 8th! 💪 #TGCF

People are always like “you gotta comment on fics to show your appreciation!!” Which is true, but you also gotta comment because you will get fun replies back with bonus lore or you might make a friend

All TGCF. I just finished the rough of 'Paper Memories Pt 1', so next year is for 'Pt 2'. Also I wanna work on a wulian fic- maybe medium length, something with some meat on it. At some point I'm gonna play with a modern au. I've only recently started to actually read them and now I have some ideas.

Missy @artingstarvist.bsky.social · 14/12/2024

I swear I'm going to start using this webbed site. 😂 Anyhow, I never posted the art I did for my longfic NFNF, so here. I did art for all 20 chapters lol. It's a coffin rescue with a 'HC's Revenge Against LQQ' b-plot haha. I just finished the rough draft of the sequel actually. 😁 #tgcf #hualian

Oh right I was posting art here. Have something a little morbid. CW is for missing eyeball gore. #tgcf

Painted bust of Hua Cheng as an armored semi-dispersed ghost (Wuming) having just pulled his eye out. His hair isn't fully formed, turning into wispy smoke. The eyeball is hidden in his blood-covered hand. His expression is wary.

Missy @artingstarvist.bsky.social · 26/10/2024

So um. I did forget I had a bluesky lol. Anyway, my fic updated, if anyone around here is reading/read NFNF. This bonus chp, "There's a ghost king in Heaven" spans four POVs, hence this chapter illustration. Basically, its outsider views on Hualian lol. #tgcf archiveofourown.org/works/60041962

I mean, its gotta be my coffin rescue fic "Never Forget, Never Forgive." I took the time to illustrate each chapter for god's sake. 😂 It's whumpy and long but it's got a happy ending! #tgcf #hualian Link: archiveofourown.org/works/537511...

Illustration of a very sad Hua Cheng pulling a very skinny Xie Lian from a black coffin. Xie Lian is wearing his State Preceptor robes and they are dripping heavily with blood. The background is dark and reminiscent of cave and roots. They are lit by glowing butterflies.

Wouldn't want to be boxed in as a chibi artist ig lol. So here's a comic I made of the hualian underwater kiss. Stayed as true as possible to the original text. I have it planned out till HC carries him to Ghost City but gotta wait for inspo to strike. #tgcf #hualian #HeavenOfficialsBlessing

Four more TGCF chibis. Call this the Season 2 Crew. MY/ Begonia (Beware), SQX/ Peony (Wealth), LQQ/ Yellow Carnation (Disdain), and YY/ Alyssum (Worthy Beyond Beauty). Only the peony has the Chinese flower meaning, the rest are Victorian. #tgcf #chibi

Chibi drawing of Ming Yi from Heaven Official's Blessing/TGCF, holding the Earth Master's shovel and surrounded by red begonia flowers and dark leaves. His expression is serious.

Chibi drawing of Shi Qingxuan from Heaven Official's Blessing/TGCF. He's in his male form, and popping out of a large pink peony with his Wind Master Fan open. A couple of peony petals float off to the sides. He has a big smile on his face.

Chibi drawing of Lang Qianqiu from Heaven Official's Blessing/TGCF. He has an angry expression, teeth bared, as he chops a yellow carnation flower in two with his greatsword.

Chibi drawing of Yin Yu from Heaven Official's Blessing/TGCF. He looks like he's resting on a large circular pile of alyssum blossoms (small bundles of purple and white flowers). His face is shown, mask pulled to the side of his head, and he looks calm and tired with dark circles under his pink eyes.

I'm just gonna plop down some of my drawtober chibis (xianle quartet) for the moment. I was combining TGCF characters and flowers. Daisy (Innocence), Lily (Many Sons), Lotus (Purity), and Narcissus (Accomplishment). Its a mix of Chinese and Victorian flower symbolism. #tgcf #HeavenOfficialsBlessing

Chibi drawing of Hong-er from TGCF, holding onto a large daisy. His red eye is visible through his bandages.
