PeiFengQing Week FAQ

Is there a rating restriction?
No. Stories can range from G to E, without restriction. Likewise, there is no restriction to the kind of works that are allowed.

Are dead dove works allowed?
Yes, they are. Just make sure to tag appropriately, as per AO3's own guidelines.^^

Can I write for another ship?
Other ships can be featured, but PeiFengQing should remain the focus. (We know we are talking about Masters of Pining and the Hoenorable Pei.)

Is there a minimum/maximum length for fics? Is there a minimum requirement for art (aka do sketches count)?
Nope, you do you. Total freedom!

Can I use more than one prompt?
Of course. There are more than one prompts for each day to account for - hopefully - everyone, to make sure that something, somewhere, would spark people's interest and inspire them. Go wild!

Do I have to write/make art for every day?
Absolutely not. This is for fun, and shouldn't be a chore. (Says I, who will be a mess when I can't write for every day.)

Does my fic has to be in English?
No, write in the language you're most comfortable it. (It's also great for PeiFengQing propaganda.^^)

Is there moderation?
No - I won't veto the fics that are submitted. I trust that everyone knows how to behave in a public space and respect the rules. (And tag properly.)

How do I post in the collection on AO3?
When you post your work, you should be able to see the 'Post to collection/challenge' as you scroll. Select the PeiFengQing_Week_2024 and you're good to go. The collection is unmoderated, so any work is welcome.

Digital black/white drawing of Hua Cheng in his different stages of life. Down at the bottom is Hong'er holding a white flower with both hands, on top to the left is soldier Hong'er wielding a sword, next the right is Wu Ming holding a white flower with one hand and his sword with the other. And on top is Hua Cheng is his iconic outfit holding a hand out for his wraith butterflies and with the other holding E'Ming.

Summary:
When he got up from the bed, Hua Cheng made a confused noise, one hand grabbing for him, only to close around the air.

“Shh, I’ll only be gone for a moment,” Xie Lian promised, giving Hua Cheng a quick kiss before leaving the room. It really did only take a moment; when he was finished, he came back inside – followed by another ‘him’.

This version of him was the God-Pleasing Crown Prince, looking like he had stepped right out of Hua Cheng’s painting, if not for the fact that all of his robes were fully coloured. Rich fabrics of red and white and gold. A belt the colour of the sky. Jade tassels and a golden crown adorned with flowers.

Snippet for one of the upcoming #tgcfcloneweek prompts! @tgcf-clone-event.bsky.social #amwrites #tgcf

Xie Lian was used to it; though they were his clones, Hua Cheng couldn’t help but show he was the one of them in charge. It was both funny and cute in a way, and the god hardly minded it.
At least, not unless it became the rare occasion where they’d break out into an actual fight, his husband sometimes choosing to exchange harsh words and blows rather than simply dismiss the clones.
This was thankfully not one of those times.
Little Hong’er’s arms found themselves around Xie Lian’s shoulders like they had been centuries ago, still holding on for dear life, as if he was two seconds from doom rather than comfortable in bed.
Wu Ming took a few minutes to get genuinely comfortable, like he couldn’t believe he was in such a situation even though he had all of Hua Cheng’s memories. Finally, he ended up relaxing, and their legs were soon fitted together comfortably once more despite Hua Cheng’s display.
It was a quirk Xie Lian noticed of all his husband’s clones; depending on the form, they’d take on the personality too, even when knowing what was going on and how much he was loved. So from the middle of the cuddle pile, he turned to Hua Cheng, and then Wu Ming, to give them thorough, tender kisses, and then pressed one against the top of Hong’er’s scruffy, wild hair.
“Are you comfortable, gege?” asked Hua Cheng.
“Very,” he sighed in contentment. “Thank you, San Lang. All of you.”
