We didn't have a lot of luck with our pumpkin patch this year, but thrilled to see these little ones hiding under some of the thicker leaves! We can't wait to see how they grow. What a great way to cap off a fun community garden program at our living lab. It's our first time trying pumpkins!

We have to test some of the wild clay we harvested a few weeks ago. So the kids made simple pendants to see how the clay dries. Will it warp, crack or split before we pit fire them? Looks great so far! #art #ceramics #fun #recreation #summer

I miss my lush spring garden with bearded irises, Oriental poppies etc and the green grass! There is not much in the garden now except some day lilies n a cluster of crocosmias. #MySpringGarden #purplebeardedirises #orangeOrientalpoppies
My spring garden with a  row of orange Oriental poppies, purple n yellow bearded irises planted alternately. 2nd row I planted daylilies, croscosmias n fahlias. In front of them I planted alyssums , honeysuckle and sedum . At the curve of the lawn self seeded  yellow  California poppies n red orange Oriental poppies thrived

My hydrangeas have never been this huge, for the first time in 20 years, they're so big the squirrels just walk on them and I can't see any of the pots/water features I have back there for the birds. It's been one hell of growing season in Seattle for some reason.

The first appearance of butterfly milkweed in my area was on June 16.
Several clusters of butterfly milkweed, some are blooming, some are buds.  Surrounded by green leaves and grasses.  Due to the early morning light, these look more yellow than their usual orange.  June 21, 2026
