Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 10mI’m a little worried. I had no reaction to the flu vaccine at all, and the last time that happened I got Flu A later that season, and it was not mild 000

Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 20hEach school year by Oct. 1, homeschoolers have to send a letter to the district declaring their plans and including certain info about the kids, such as immunization records and testing plans. I mailed this year's letter on Sep. 10. MPS emailed me: It hasn't arrived. This is a skeet about voting. 0110
Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 07/10/2026Been there. I now won’t order drinks delivered unless I’m sure they come in cans or bottles. That one time with the mango lassi even convinced my *kids* it wasn’t worth it. 120
Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 06/10/2026Hey, these all sound like normal, healthy feelings about a fucked up situation. You are allowed to grieve just exactly the parts that feel like grief, there’s no part that you have to take or have to leave, grief has its own internal consistency and doesn’t have to follow an outsider logic. Be well 130

There are social workers across the Greater Minnesota who know their local jurisdictions won’t be able to meet someone’s needs. They pull money out of their own pocket, buy them a bus ticket to Minneapolis, and tell them where to go to get help. 15112

Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 05/10/2026We went to Rome with our kids ages 14, 11, 8, 4, and 8 months in 2014. A highlight for me was taking the two oldest to the Galleria Borghese (needs advance tickets). The Bernini sculptures! Nothing beats walking around and around Apollo and Daphne. Besides that, I mainly remember eating gelato. 130

Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 05/10/2026We have charcuterie board for dinner every Sunday. Cheese, prosciutto, nuts, veggies and hummus, good red wine. Tonight I made a spread with smoked fish, beets, sour cream, and capers. Triscuits and saltines and everything-bagel-chips. 110

The worst things can make us amazing. 0215

Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 27/09/2026The 2nd take is not wrong; still, we’d like to use the power of in-group pressure, if there is any, to shame those who claim Christ while proudly dehumanizing (and hopefully steer folks on the margins away from them). I also think the word “heresy” is appropriate, but not sure it is well received. 010
Erin Arlinghaus @arlinghausfamily.com · 27/09/2026I’ve been thinking about 2 takes in tension: 1-Calling out Christians for racism & cruelty with “this is not consistent with Christ, it is un-Christian;” 2-folks pointing out it’s historically consistent with the behavior of Christians, & we don’t get to absolve historical Christianity of that. 110
