Omg, during my internship at a lit agency, I had to update a doc for the Spring catalog, and the tiniest thing would throw everything into chaos. I ended up redoing the entire style guide just to help the next poor intern so they knew what fixes I used.

I have adjusted the settings to the nth degree. Unfortunately, I need to use it for work, Track Changes, all that. I sort of accept that toward the end of an edit, it's going to be sluggish. But I just opened a new manuscript, haven't made any changes, I'm just checking for formatting issues.

Anyway, I knew some things were meant to be kind of emotionally gross and messy but maybe it was the voracious reader in me that I could see things a little deeper. Hey, this was a good read. I'm probably about a decade older than you (1979), I have strong memories of listening to this album during all day swim meets and in my bedroom with headphones on. I always loved it, and I already knew then what "Pinkerton" meant (grew up listening to opera too).

I'm on the Gen X side of Xennial, so 4 books were out before I even knew what HP was. I read them and found them fun, but only once, and I never felt compelled to return to them. I get clinging to something you grew up on, but part of growing up is recognizing some of your faves are toxic.
