before work i saved a poor disoriented polyphemus moth from traffic and set it on a bush to rest. after work i passed the same bush and the poor thing is still and dead :( it was probably naturally its time but i still feel some crazy way about being the poor thing’s final touchstone with life. rip.

a very very tired, pale polyphemus moth who i gently coaxed out of traffic this morning. it is resting on a leggy boxwood-like bush where i found it again dead or nearly dead about 6 hours later.
