I don't plan on being super political on this account, but for all my American friends looking for a reason to celebrate 2025: Trump's tax plan ends, meaning that when tax season rolls around in 2026 that we'll be under Biden's tax plan, which should mean you *actually* get money back.

The one flaw with bluesky is that I can't bookmark this to make me smile in the future.

Sorry for the lack of posts. Been in a bit of a funk. That said, in addition to talking about Pokémon and other TCGs here, I might start posting more publicly in the form of "devlogs" in regards to an HTCG I've been cooking up. This is a way to keep myself active here and focused on developing it!

Thank you Twitter, very cool Real talk, it is super sad to see this behavior from a prominent trans profile, Twitter or not. Especially when the inciting post was just a critique of her saying an anime character was bad trans rep and that hrt isn't expensive Off topic for the profile, just venting

Two posts in reply to one another on Twitter. The first one is from jessicobra, reading "yeah no. hrt is cheap. lots of poor people transition. the only way that even remotely makes sense as an explanation is if you think that transition = sex change operation, which i suspect the author does, given this" with an attached picture of a scan from the My Hero Academia manga featuring a trans masc character that says "Formerly female. Then he took a trip to Thailand."

The second post is from me replying "Rare bad Jess take tbh. Am I any less trans for not being able to afford hrt? Am I bad representation because I'm poor?

Not everyone is as privileged as you when it comes to finances. Magne is unapologetically trans and is respected by most major members of the cast as a woman."

If you see this, post your favorite character smiling (I am not exaggerating when I say this is the only official image of them smiling in any sense of the word, she's just an angy girl)

Hot Take (?): Prime Catcher is a problem. Not in the sense that it's overpowered, but it is generically good in a way no other Ace Spec is; to the point that it makes deck building a bit boring?? Like, not that other Ace Specs see no play at all, but the play rates PC see makes the format stale.

Stop what you're doing and post a gif of your favorite anime (I actually had to think on this cause I don't watch as much anime as I would want to)

Is it just me, or is there a weird amount of follow bots on here? Keep getting notifications for followers, but looking at their profiles and lack of engagement tells me that they aren't interested in anything I'm writing.

Why is money so hard to manage nowadays /r 😭 I don't even have enough to play locals coming up... Maybe this is my chance to get another deck built for the next one 🤔

Just took a peak at DL after not touching it in forever, and I gotta say, this new layout is sick. I really like the customization options you have here and how compact everything is now. Looked really bad since launch tbqh lol.

Really hoping this upcoming set for the Pokémon TCG has something like "Nemona's Pawmot" or whatnot. She is 100% the best character from Gen 9 (sorry, Arven) and I <really> want to have a reason to run backpack.

Finally remembered my password. Back to card game posting. Pokemon Pocket is extremely fun, especially having fun with the Koga deck, though that might be because this Wheezing art looks as clean as it does haha.

Aria 51 [Invalid] @aria51.bsky.social · 07/10/2023

Big agree. Her and Gavin are such good characters, actually got me to start watching Sevens for the first time. The changes that were made to the art style and stuff really threw me off but its entirely possible that by the end its gonna be my favorite iteration for characters alone.

A quoted tweet from Twitter by user @SoapyApparently

"Mimi Imimi is far and away the best part of Rush Duels DL. Every voice line is a banger. The most character of all time

She’s possibly the first instance of the “middle aged woman who looks like a child” trope in anime to not be super creepy, because instead of sexualizing her they just have her talk in super outdated slang and confuse the hell out of all the zoomers"

000

Aria 51 [Invalid] @aria51.bsky.social · 07/10/2023

Have to say, I wasn't sure how I felt when I heard that DL's version of Rush would have skills. But they really knocked it out here. Skills like Lightray's Draw feel like they can really give weight to another deck down the line, as opposed to just being a generically good skill for any deck.

Screenshot from the game "Duel Links". It shows off an unlockable skill in the game that can be equipped to change how a deck plays.

So basically, the Yu-Gi-Oh anime timeline is very cut and dry up until Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds due to different time traveling assassination attempts causing diverging universes. At some point the two diverging timelines clash into each other causing Arc-V, but let's back up a bit. So long ago in Atlantis...
