ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 04/09/2026A tree on our street snapped during the storm last night. Norway maple. I don’t know why people keep planting these in #Pittsburgh. 220
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Well. Here's a fun new thing to play with. Link in the comments - give it a try! @mapquest.com 120
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 01/08/2026A little bit of chop on Lake Erie up here in Lakeside. A storm is brewing and I couldn’t be happier. I love it when a Great Lake gets moody. 1211
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 05/06/2026My lap, right now. This is Mia, my 16-year-old senior girl. How will I break it to her that I have to leave in less than half an hour? #cats #blackcats #catsofbluesky 0122
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 27/05/2026Hello, Seattle. I’m happy to see you again, for a few days. Thanks for the beautiful weather and the California poppies blooming everywhere. I’m off to drink in what is still familiar here, and what has become strange. 1100
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 25/05/2026This may require some familiarity with 80s-era advertising… But if you have that, it’s hilarious! (And it may be just as funny with no context, what do I know?) 011
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 19/04/2026It has multiple meanings as an acronym, but in this usage it both describes and is named for that guy. 000
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 14/03/2026There’s a US cultural studies book by that title. I read it in grad school. It’s about cultural confrontations between labor and capitalism. 130
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 03/03/2026The Susquehanna, looking moody and contemplative today. 0110
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 27/01/2026In case you’ve ever wondered why the “parking chair” is a thing in Pittsburgh. (I think they do this elsewhere, too, but I never saw it until I moved here.) 280
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 25/01/2026After shoveling and salting (sorry, we have to), 11:45-ish. The snow was fully cleared before I started spreading salt. 040
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 25/01/2026Video this time. 10:25-ish. At the end I pan to show our front walkway. My partner shoveled that an hour ago. 050
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 25/01/2026Same view, approximately one hour later. Slightly heavier snowfall. 070
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 25/01/2026Snow in Pittsburgh this morning. It’s falling like fine dust right now. I’ll post pics throughout the day. 3161
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 25/12/2025Books of the 80s Post a book you love from the 80s. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. 280
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 06/12/2025To me it seems like a precursor for Saved by the Bell. 110
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 22/11/2025Ran the #phillyhalfmarathon with my niece today! We finished faster than we expected! Such a fun event - great course and spectator support for almost the entire route. 171
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 15/11/2025Mine, within 48 hours of receiving her new heated cat bed. 130
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 03/11/2025Here I am after finishing my 20 km run this morning. 😊 Yes, my hair is dripping sweat and my hat (which I knit - pattern is Shedir - like…god, almost 20 years ago now. 😬😂) Philly half-marathon, here I come! 1100
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 07/10/2025Greeted by this at the end of my 8 km run this morning. #runinthedsrk, #finishinthelight 160
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 22/06/2025I ordered a used copy of Darwin’s Origin of Species from ThriftBooks. It arrived today. I found this photo in it. I’m intrigued… 5111
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 05/06/2025As an undergrad I learned this as Hieracium aurantiacum, but it has a different genus now: Pilosella aurantiaca, or orange hawkweed / fireweed. I love it. 140
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 05/06/2025Two days in a row! They used to curl up together like this all the time, until Echo (at right in both photos) developed hyperthyroidism. After about 6 months of finding an effective dose of methimazole, her aggression and irritability are better, and she’s back up to 10 lbs (from 7.5 lbs). 010
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 05/04/2025Someone photoshopped that. Here’s what that online dictionary really says: 060
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 15/03/2025So far, these are the best buckeyes I’ve had since I moved to PA. They taste as good as the ones my friend’s mom used to make when I was a kid. Secret recipe. I came close to making a close facsimile. These are closer. Super good. 060
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 14/03/2025TIL that the red Haribo Goldbears are raspberry (not cherry) and the green ones are strawberry, WHAT?? Not green apple? In my defense, I don’t eat them often and I rarely read candy packaging. (There’s info I prefer not to know in the moments when I’m eating candy, lol.) 280
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 08/03/2025I also have one fluffy black cat and one sleek black cat. My fluffy one has a silver undercoat and is polydactyl. 020
ShareCrow @arguchik.bsky.social · 24/01/2025I should clarify, I can’t verify 100% because the specimens are distorted from pressing and age. I’m confident of the Coreopsis lanceolata, not so much the butterfly pea or the wood sorrel. I love the stains on the pages. Like the Shroud of Turin lol. 110
