Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Yes, we might have played the top three from last season in our opening five league outings, but this is nowhere near good enough. 161

Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Cheers min. Much talk of plans, models and independent reviews with little to no end product on the pitch. Think a lot of people have finally had enough. 120
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 13/08/2026✍️ Is the player trading model working? "The risk is that Aberdeen trade the reputation they have worked so hard to build as a club that provides players with a pathway to the next stage of their careers for one in which promising young talent sees its development stall."redpointofview.substack.comAre Aberdeen Giving Their Project Signings a Chance to Succeed?Aberdeen's player-trading model depends on developing young talent. But are the foundations in place to make it work? 232

Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 11/07/2026I've had the pleasure of receiving many nice comments about the book since its launch last year, however I think this may just be my favourite yet... The seal of approval from the man himself. What a guy! 020

Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Barring a set of absolutely freak results, that point last night all but sees us limp over the line to safety with a couple of homes games to spare. Obviously it's still mathematically possible, however this position is a lot preferable to where we were just a few weeks ago. 010
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 12/03/2026As always, a warm welcome to a new Aberdeen manager. Our collective issue is not with him but in the overall process that has taken place in us ending up in this position. Most are yet to be convinced, and thus it's over to Robinson to win football matches to sway the doubters. 351
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 11/03/2026Aside from everything else, one of the main factors for me was we needed to appoint a new manager who has experience with teams dominating the majority of the ball. Goodwin and Thelin struggled to recreate their counter-attacking success when moving here. This feels similar. 000
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 05/03/2026🔑 Mitchel Frame completed the second-most key passes (3) of any player on the pitch last night. The young full back is showing plenty of promise with his recent performances. Here's a deep dive into why he's a glimmer of hope amidst a chaotic period. 👇 tinyurl.com/3p9rtntz 052
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 03/03/2026Shout out to the marketing team. They do a cracking job and are at the mercy of what's happening on the pitch/club, which dictates opinion on their content. That's not an easy way to work. There will no doubt have been some trepidation about launching this from their end as well. 000
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Another game goes by and the quality of what was served up was pretty contemptible. Had a few 'moments' at the start of the game and the towards the end of the second half but overall, horrendous. You can pretty much gather all you need to know from the momentum graph for that. 000
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 24/02/2026Graeme Shinnie tonight: ⚔️ Won the most duels on the night and of any Aberdeen player in a single game all season (15) ⚽️ Completed the most passes in the match (35) 🛑 Had the most tackles in the match (6) A grim watch overall but another battling display from the captain. 041

Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 18/02/2026This guy. Our Scottish Cup winning captain. Rolled back the years tonight. The years march on and catch up with us all eventually, but you cannot question his commitment to this club. ❤️ 010
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 16/02/2026Dennis Geiger's Aberdeen debut was a decent one, considering that's his first minutes of football this season. 1st for tackles (3) 2nd for interceptions (3) 4th for defensive contributions (8) 4th for recoveries (8) More positives from Sunday: tinyurl.com/57f2ctf3 031
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 16/02/2026With Wednesday looming, we've tried to find something to cling onto from Sunday. There were a few positive signs... intensity, creating chances, and the midde of the park looks more promising. However, We’ll need a lot more at Pittodrie. Monday debrief: tinyurl.com/57f2ctf3 010
Reposted by Red Point of ViewNeil Drysdale @neildrysdale.bsky.social · 13/02/2026“Simmy” will officially be launched at Pittodrie on Thursday May 14, when Neil Simpson will be joined by Richard Gordon for a chat about his insightful autobiography. I’m very much looking forward to it at the venue where Simmy enjoyed so many famous victories! 052
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 13/02/2026After the news earlier today, some clarity is beginning to emerge at Pittodrie. With the managerial situation nearing resolution "imminently", it feels like a reset moment ahead of what is a make or break week. On what comes next: tinyurl.com/bdhy8xu9 010
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 13/02/2026Tony Doc was always the brains behind the Del operation anyway... 😉 Absolutely brilliant to have him back on board. Great first season at Dundee, led them to their highest finish this century and nominated for PFA Manager of the Year. Should hopefully be the boost we need. 020
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 12/02/2026Agree top six is away. We are given a 4.6% chance to get it... just think there's a great chance there for more silverware, which is strengthened by getting a new face in. Horneland was leaked to the media a week ago so a bit concerning it continues to drag on. 120
Red Point of View @aredpov.bsky.social · 12/02/2026As posted elsewhere, really hope and believe we should be appointing a manager before next week's Scottish Cup tie. There's a great opportunity to win the cup again this year but the whole place needs a massive lift for that to happen. Can only see one winner between us and Motherwell as it stands. 261
