Data suggests family dramas bear a less than 10 percent resemblance to actual human families, which is unsurprising and also a relief, considering all the murders.

As a library worker I can tell you this would decimate children’s non-fiction. I’m constantly sending Aaron pictures of the latest books about animal butts and farts (“Do Fish Fart?” “Butt or Face? Volume 2”)

Right? I liked the early seasons of Modern Family but not by any stretch of the imagination is it better than Dead Like Me or any other Bryan Fuller show.

I really enjoyed the Mazza Museum of picture book art at the University of Findlay because it does this with every piece - every picture book from which an original work appears is right there, available on a rack below the framed art, with the displayed images bookmarked.

Parents do. This is a toy specifically meant to ease discomfort as teeth work their way through a baby's gums. Do you ever use an ice pack on an injury? Then you know cold items can soothe or numb painful areas. Many teethers are specifically intended to be chilled or frozen, just like an ice pack.

did bluesky hear about Miss Teen Indiana’s Garfield costume
A young woman in a Garfield inspired outfit with a Garfield headdressThe young woman from the first photo is holding a lasagna that says “lasagna my love language”missinteenusa Tonight, Indiana is going Garfield!
My state costume celebrates one of Indiana's most iconic creations-Garfield, created by fellow Hoosier Jim Davis.
Born in Marion and raised in Fairmount, Davis turned an orange cat with a big personality into a character recognized and loved around the world.
But this costume represents more than a famous Hoosier.
The hand-painted comic panels on my skirt share messages inspired by my initiative, Captivating Confidence:
"Our differences are what make us beautiful."
"If we don't have love, we have nothing."
"Outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates."
To me, true confidence is found in embracing what makes each of us different and recognizing that our greatest beauty comes from within. I am so excited to bring a little Hoosier humor, creativity and confidence to the Miss Teen USA stage tonight!
This one-of-a-kind costume was inspired by my vision and brought to life by Indianapolis-based costume designer, Jess West. @jesswestcostumes

Dawn showed faintly in the east. Among the ruins, one wall stood alone. Within the wall, a last voice said, over and over again and again, even as the sun rose to shine upon the heaped rubble and steam: "Today is August 5, 2026, today is August 5, 2026, today is..."

At ten o'clock the house began to die. The wind blew. A failing tree bough crashed through the kitchen window. Cleaning solvent, bottled, shattered over the stove. The room was ablaze in an instant! --- (To be concluded tomorrow at dawn)

“Nine-five.” A voice spoke from the study ceiling: "Mrs. McClellan, which poem would you like this evening?" The house was silent. The voice said at last, "Since you express no preference, I shall select a poem at random." poetrysociety.org/poems/there-...

“Six, seven, eight o'clock.” The dinner dishes manipulated like magic tricks, and in the study a click. In the metal stand opposite the hearth where a fire now blazed up warmly, a cigar popped out, half an inch of soft gray ash on it, smoking, waiting.

“Four-thirty.” The nursery walls glowed. Animals took shape: yellow giraffes, blue lions, pink antelopes, lilac panthers cavorting in crystal substance. The walls were glass. [...] Hidden films clocked through well-oiled sprockets, and the walls lived. […] It was the children's hour.

Two thirty-five. Bridge tables sprouted from patio walls. Playing cards fluttered onto pads in a shower of pips. Martinis manifested on an oaken bench with egg-salad sandwiches. Music played. But the tables were silent and the cards untouched.
