Presume the headings of these graphs are the wrong way round? I.e. top one should be shares becoming employed split by previously single or partnered, and bottom share coupling split by employed/not - this latter seems to give the 29pp mention in the text @soumayakeynes.ft.com ?

This is some kind of dictation fail on the cricket updates of the BBC Sport pages, isn't it, rather than someone who simply can't write? Either way, does nobody check before it's published? Is there any editorial oversight at all? What's happened to any semblance of standards?
A BBC Sport text update on Sussex v Hampshire, containing at least 4 nonsensical sentences/non-standard English such as "match is set to be come down to an exciting conclusion"

Wowsers, fire at one of the works (scrap metals? Not sure) on Lewisham/Millwall area right next to @serailway.bsky.social mainline into London Bridge. Close enough to feel notably warmer (and smoky) as train went past. Some major disruption about to occur I think!

Fantastic crimes against data (and standard spelling) in this BBC article on lower ranked tennis players
A BBC Sport graphic which compares the recent earnings of the male and female players ranked 1 and 100, but then puts the % of total earning from Grand Slams into a nonsensical combined pie chart for the two players. This also doesn't do the thing its headline claims ("Why players are so dependant (sic) on Grand Slam money")

Absolute classic of the "how did the thread get there?" genre
A post about Scottish football eventually becomes a discussion of pantomime and lineage of artistic forms

I'm sorry, it feels like people up thread have just not even read this article fully (I don't think it's well written, as with a lot of BBC stuff recently). Isn't this 3 paragraph section absolutely saying what Anna says? JP is claiming that men, accused of DA, make their own counter claim.

So here we have seating arrangements for 10 people, ie it's not just people distancing, but one of these going to the press... Presume it's Vance and/or Rubio, who come out of this article merely spineless (and still hugely complicit), compared with the other enablers
Excerpt from NYT piece listing attendees at a war planning meeting, including their seating positions, implying it is one of those ten providing the info to the NYT

You would get non-zero support for all of these

As far as I understand the stamp duty thing it's not "main" home but *only* property she owned at the purchase so no 2nd home surcharge. All seems totally fine/legal as per the FT... But the earlier council tax thing felt dodgier and in that context you can see how this will run

Lol at my feed juxtaposition
Sunder's post followed by an unrelated post asking if "you ever read something that's so poorly argued it makes you spot the holes in it and convince you for the opposite" i.e. I think the BBC's statement has done this for me

As a Spurs fan and a Radio 3 listener this seems an unlikely and exciting confluence of interests

Whether she thinks the Times piece is a good reflection of her views, we'd have to ask her. Maybe the FT's own podcast might be better and shows her to be pretty wide-ranging and nuanced, e.g. she knows gendered difference in phone ownership on.ft.com/4kfpVkv

As well as a P!nk blind spot that several people are commenting on, I am personally surprised that vodka outweights wine in the CPI

I blame a) BBC and b) things like Google generating (not clear how) updates like this on my phone
