April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 18/12/2024Crazy that this is the app that's allegedly supposed to be an escape from transphobia and bots but prominent transphobes are allowed and I'm frequently followed by bots 020
April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 09/12/2024and from an intersex perspective the reveal is set up punchline at worse (and my theater was laughing) or a plot device at best but either way not very humanizing 010

April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 01/12/2024The unfortunate thing about staying several nights in other people's homes is the temperatures all wrong. In your house the temperature is just right. In everyone else's house it's like 8 degrees higher. Why do they do that? 020
April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Films of 2024 are always like... we're all so divided... if only a cool guy would make an impassioned speech... maybe that could save us all... 150

April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 21/11/2024Caught Pascal Plante's Red Rooms today and it's definitely one of the best of this year (or last year depending on how you count it.) Really captures the horror of getting too lost in the digital landscape 060
April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 21/11/2024early on in my transition I was really terrified that everyone wanted to kill me and that participating in society wasn't worth the effort and that all couldn't be further than the truth. The opps want us all to think like that and I urge everyone to not give up hope 070
April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 21/11/2024The people obsessed with us and who hate our guts want us scared to leave our house and think they are the majority but they simply aren't. Yet it's still really really bad and there's way too many of the freaks who hate us and the cis underrate the toll that takes on us 160
April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 21/11/2024It's important to be clear to cis people that the world is far more transphobic than they imagine to horrifying degrees, but also to other trans people that the world is less transphobic than we imagine And that both of these things are true at the same time 180
April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Not liking that the current TV meta is just one "45 minute drama spinoff/remake of IP BRAND" a season that everyone watches and then like... nothing else. I have absolutely no interest in any of these 000

April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Picked up the new Zelda. The top down Zelda games have always put effort into actually creating interesting characters but it does not feel like they put the effort into that with this new one. April @aprilturtle.bsky.social · 16/11/2024This is the time of year where the movie-liker must accept that they will likely not actually be able to see (allegedly) the best films of 2024 on a theater screen in 2024. Juror No 2? A Different Man? Nickel Boys? Queer? Sorry, those aren't FOR YOU 030
