Moon/Jupiter/Dawn on fire today! #astronomy #astrophotography #cowx

pre-dawn, the moon and Jupiter hang over the Rocky Mountains in a gauze of high cirrus (and contrails). Many stars are visible. The Big Dipper stands over the mountains left of center. Houselights of the Baca Grande PoA dot the foothills of the mountains.

Dawn in full force now. The moon and Jupiter hang a bit higher over the Rocky Mountains and are more distinct from each other. The contrails are more evident, gauze less so. Few stars are visible now, but replaced with a nice orange/pink glow in the sky.
