RS34's games are rooted in the "caravan" formula - enemies come in formations, and you get more enemies (and points) if you defeat each formation fast. Caravan shmups have more stuff than what you can destroy in one run, so you have to filter out the less lucrative options to avoid being overwhelmed

honestly can’t think of a timer in a traditional video game that i’ve played recently that was super memorable, but i will say that the timers in the titular witch trials of manosaba are a great argument for adding a little bit of interactivity to a visual novel, specifically for conveying emotion

took advantage of this work trip to finally go watch new spiderman, which i didn’t think i was ever gonna see. it was certainly one of the movies ever made. i guess as a blockbuster its perfectly enjoyable but at some point its just white noise. i liked some of the fight scenes i suppose.
