Just gonna say it: the Borg would do earth so much better than we are - they get along - they use structured reasoning - they're decisive We would lose to any variation of the Borg. Even the delta quadrant iteration who lost a war to space bugs

Without trending towards a balanced ai discussion, there's all this stuff in our current reality that just has no space for real consideration Many perspectives today are just not serious...the convo is in LaLaLand when this is major human infrastructure being developed

Would be great if these important decisions about AI & tech got an actual vote from interested members of the public No such infrastructure to do so exists No effort to make this infrastructure exists We can discuss but with no prospect of any side effects

Weird dream / nightmare about an adversarial proof system controlled environment. Every syscall led to some version of zugzwang. And it plopped me in a hypervisor that made me think i was in my system, but it was always a simulacra of my system mirrored to the expected state. Familiar situation

Early morning thoughts... maybe wolfram's right about SK in combinatory logic being the ideal basis of proofs involving the lambda calculus. & if so, maybe work on polymorphic type systems would be better served beginning there, rather than thru the lens of process calculi, kleisli, monads, etc

Got through all of the major parts of specifying an AST and type universe in Agda with some slides and diagrams that should tell a good story. Think it makes the parser story easier since when everything needed for a type universe is proven, you have all core interfaces right there.

To implement HoTT in hardware, I needed to build a grothendieck universe. Which in part meant: - some way of associating term objects to Nats ("ontological vectors") - a way to move across the entire grothendieck universe during pattern matching E8 & thurston sets made sense as core abstractions

As I see it, the value of PolyF is facilitating O(1) validation & eval of arbitrary code input... Not in traversing bicomodules / infinite polar 'databases'. I'm probably a little biased against bicomodules since they may assume a C_Set, which limits what humans can think about & engineer

how it's going

A PPA signals real intent to secure firm capacity, not just a speculative position. When hyperscalers start treating power procurement as a competitive edge, it shifts how infrastructure gets built and financed across the whole grid.
