I think this chapter shined a light on how Pochita was ultimately right, no matter how bleak it may be to us, as the readers. But I do think fujimoto is telling us that jobs aren’t meant to bring us happiness, and a mundane life with the people that we love around us can make that better, if not the best life for us.
