Watched the @nostalgianerd.com Quantum Bigfoot video yesterday. Reminded me of the time I unplugged the molex connector from one and managed to pull the entire power connector right off the board. The worst part was explaining it to my boss. Thankfully someone soldered it back on and all was good.

Ugh it is getting really hard to read @daringfireball.bsky.social these days. @gruber.foo is almost impossible to agree with. His takes on WFH, Meta, Threads, LLMs, the EU and Bluesky are so hard to stomach. I think, for the first time in 20 or so years, I’m just going to have to unsubscribe.

#RandomGameSaturday well, not that random. My original copy of Ocarina of Time. This game took me sox years to finish (on and off) mostly because I got so stuck on the water temple I restarted the game.

Odd, I guess we got this early in the UK? Funny how the message of the movie mirrors its real life struggle to get released, which makes the film all the sweeter. If you love Warner Bros films you owe it to yourself to see this on the big screen. If not, it’s just ok.

@liss.bsky.social something I didn’t realise when I leased a car was that the car might be worth way more than the balance of the lease at the end. What if SSD/RAM prices keep increasing the way they are? You could lease a Mac, use it for two years, sell it, pay off Apple and pocket the change.

@liss.bsky.social I’m in the same place when it comes to electric cars. I know I need one, but none speak to me. None of them are something I want. We are in such a poor place, design wise. Even the German EVs are unappealing. Maybe I’ll wait for Alfa Romeo to do one. Even if it is yet another SUV.
