It took months for Pendleton city staff to negotiate a tentative settlement to resolve a lawsuit over the city’s homelessness policies. It took only three hours of public pressure before it unraveled. Lawyers representing five unhoused residents say they now plan to proceed with the lawsuit.

There’s a lot that I am proud of in my life, but being part of the team that got our first union contract is definitely up there. 💕 My first 2.5 years at OPB, I was an on-call temp employee making $19 an hour w/out benefits. No one else will ever be in that situation again thanks to this contract ✊

Here are some highlights of the tentative agreement: - No minimum salaries in contract lower than $65k, minimum salary increases for many positions - KMHD hosts in particular get a nearly 30% increase retroactive to July ’25 - Guaranteed yearly increases of at least 3% for all 3 yrs of the contract
