If recent events have taught us anything, it's that having your own island is not a good look. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Island near Portmeirion is for sale - but you may need waders to reach it
The 17-acre Ynys Gifftan is available to buy, but waterproofs are a must as it lies in an estuary.

Data from the Office of National Statistics shows Londoners are less likely to be violent crime victims (26.4 offences per 1,000 pop) than the rest of England & Wales (31.9 offences). Violent crime has fallen in every London borough in the past year.

New Bake Off contestant calls himself "The King of Hobbies". There's only one king of all hobbies. www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio... #GBBO #SimonQuinlank @herring1967.bsky.social
Image from the linked Guardian article showing a picture of contestant with caption "Aaron, 38, London".Text from linked Guardian article: "Lots to worry about here. Aaron, who moved to London from Manchester four years ago, uses his contestant bio to make two controversial statements. One is to call himself The King of Hobbies, which makes him sound like a dilettante who never sticks with anything long enough to reach a point of basic competency. The second is that he refers to hotdogs as a snack, which genuinely beggars belief."Image of the actor Kevin Eldon as Simon Quinlank "the King of all Hobbies". From BBC2 comedy television Fist of Fun written by and starring Richard Herring and Stewart Lee.

Totally normal times we're living through.
Text from a summary of an article on the BBC News site, reading "At the same meeting, Nato's chief calls Trump "daddy" when asked about the US president's use of an expletive in criticising Israel and Iran".

PM's direct defence attack on Elon Musk is brave, correct factually and probably the only sensible PR strategy here, this is not about politics so much as truth. This is in my view Keir Starmer's best comms moment so far.
