Also fantastic: suspected that one of the inhalers I was put on when I had Covid was actually the major driver of my own long covid bullshit. I was right. Side effects are rare but include heart problems that “may be interpreted as anxiety by the patient” (lol) and nervous system disregulation. fml.

Gonna eat my words next week because I have three assignments due tonight, a major essay next week, a midterm Tuesday, etc. etc. but SO FAR this has been incredibly good for my brain and recovery or whatever you want to call it.

Feel kinda bad because I have a 97 average across my classes 💀 and I’m reaping the benefits of experience here. Not knowing the material (well, some of it) but just being able to prioritize or knowing how to study goes so goddamn far.

38 minus a day isn’t such a long time to get here in the grand scheme of things, it feels like.

Trying to articulate some kinda lesson or insight here but I don’t know how. Everything would have been the same even if I’d stressed more or burnt myself out. It’s weird being able to take things in stride. I wish I’d known this was possible 30 years ago. Tomorrow is my birthday though, so…

Dislocated my shoulder that morning and tore something in my upper arm. Wrote two midterms. Walked out and learned my cousin died. Called Ash “dad” without thinking about it when he unexpectedly pulled up. Aced the first midterm. And everything is… fine.

Just been standing here like, huh. Had two midterms Friday that I’d been worried about because I approached it like a stress test. As in, try not to stress. Put all that therapy to good use. Treat this like exposure therapy and don’t worry too much.

I am so tempted to do the “well, you asked” route because my instructor has been a social worker for years and has assured us she has Seen It All, so… like… Also it’s too late to drop the class and get my money back, lol.

I was also referred to the hospital for a cancer screening/biopsy based on a test from earlier this year, but that’s a six month wait because this province is a joke so I’ll worry about that in March 🤗

It’s so frustrating spending years being told I’m wrong or crazy because it does genuinely get to you eventually. Like shit maybe it’s my fault because I can’t describe my symptoms right or really am imagining it or am causing it somehow. But no.

I got a referral to the pulmonary clinic today, AND montelukast AND a bunch of prednisone to get me through until I see a specialist 🥹 Holy fuck.
