despite, in my work, being an expert on food security and community health and well-being, someone putting together a client slide deck decided to 'ask the robots' to put the slides related to my work together, and for me to review it. in that same time i could have just put the slide together.

i’m concerned with how much “end of reading” discourse is here, because language is powerful and if people keep seeing that message rather than “the fight to help more kids read” or “how educators are teaching a generation struggling to read” i think makes a big cognitive difference

anytime i get a podcast guest pitch from a food product company, i let them know my policy is not doing any interviews with food product spokespeople, but i’d be happy to consider a podcast advertisement collaboration or social media campaign. and everytime they say no, only affirming my policy.

i’ll never get over glossy pieces about tinned veg and fish having “moments” when that has forever and always been the foods that were affordable and stable for food banks, and for those of us who have grappled with poverty and food insecurity at points in our lives

omg, i was just doing some stats-lite for an upcoming newsletter about my podcast, and it confirmed that since adding video social media promotions, average monthly downloads are up 72% from the last season of audio-only. turns out audiences really need faces before they trust to listen!
